You didn’t know that? He was born and raised in North London and Sussex. :duck:

Billy Ocean, Seal, Leona Lewis and Taio Cruz are the only Black-Brits. to have a number one single in the U.S.

He’s gonna have two in a couple of weeks tops. He never pushed singles on radio before this era. He sent the lead and two minor singles in 2017 but they weren’t pop and were never gonna make it. Sign of the Times peaked at 12.

I find it ironic that One Direction failed to top Pop radio as a group and yet every member has as a solo act, with Styles about to have two.

No problem and I can help you. While you are working on the #1s. I'll see if I can drum up a list for top 10s/top 40s.

IT can be in one thread since this will be updated periodically

Also, you wouldn't need to necessarily list out the top 10s and top 40s as much but the #1s section for females/males/groups would be a good look and just the number for top 10s/top40s could be enough

I will send you a PM for the top 10s/top 40s throughout this week since it might take some time

Thanks, luv. Rihanna stans always win

I just assumed it went to number one without looking at the stats. because “RITD;. SFTTR” hit #1.

Yeah. It happened the same with other smash songs like Umbrella and I Kissed a Girl that were blocked on Pop radio by lesser hits (JT's Summer Love and Jesse McCartney's Leavin') :dies:

Was thinking the same thing. As band they’ve only had four songs even go top on Pop Radio

What Makes You Beautiful (#3 - July 2012)

Story of My Life (#4 - March 2014)

Drag Me Down (#6 - July 2015)

Perfect (#10 - October 2015)

(Both DMD & Perfect debut high and later free felled down)

Night Changes also #14 but was on Pop Radio from November 2014 until May 2015 (got a 2nd wind thanks to Zayn’s departure).

Louis hasn’t and probably never will but I know. Their singles were never particularly big. Only three of the singles had some sort of impact, WMYB, SOML, and Drag Me Down somewhat. They released 4/5 singles per era and always at least two pre album, with 5 albums... you do the math

WMYB was huge and is still hugely remembered. You hear the chords at the beginning and remember it, but aside from that every member (except Louis) has had bigger singles than their entire singles catalog

They chose the singles really well each era except for Four. They did it dirty. Steal My Girl is a horrible song, Night Changes is okay but it’s a ballad and they didn’t have anything upbeat breaking it big that era. Then Zayn left and they didn’t release any more singles.

But anyway, they should’ve gone with Where Do Broken Hearts Go as a lead. I’m gonna be mad forever about that

I completely forgot about Tomlinson.

The way he’s not even CLOSE to being on my radar. :deadbanana4:

Yes, “WBYB” is definitely a huge and will probably go down as the last ‘Boy-Band’ Pop Classic, don’t you think?

It was definitely the first since N’Sync’s “Bye, Bye, Bye” back in 2000.
