I wonder how long it’ll take them to combine them. The clean wasn’t released at the same time as the explicit so could that be why they weren’t combined?

Spotify charts: they include the total streams in the countries a song charts

 

Spotify counter (the actual number on the Spotify app): all streams

 

Let's say you release a song and it only charts in the US with 500K. You still got streams from other countries, you just didn't chart in them.

 

Spotify charts will count 500K.

Spotify counter will count, let's say 700K, adding all the streams you got.

 

Look at old hits for example. Super Bass is not on spotify charts but its spotify counter is still growing though because it is still getting streams.
