King of Kpop snapped :clap3:

The song peaked at #1 in South Korea selling over 1M pure sales! It also peaked at #20 in Finland and #36 in Canada!

The song also charted at #97 on US Hot 100 making PSY the first Korean artist with the most entries (4) on the Hot 100 back in 2015 before Kpop global domination :clap3:

Is is k-pop? Some of my students that love k-pop bands say that he's not part, that he's a shame for k-pop. I don't think the same, I love him and I think he opened the door for all the other artists... But why did they say that? Thank u

I mean if we take the literal sense of kpop which is korean pop, it is kpop. But in South Korea it's really different how Kpop is perceived, it's only popular among young people + early teenagers. Girlsband & boysband are considered as Kpop idols which serves young, beauty & skinny. So Psy is not considered as kpop over there, he is a veteran hip-hop act with 19 years of career, he is a legend in Korea (every generation likes him from young to older people). That's why people listening kpop today don't consider him as kpop.
