Witch Privilege Posted May 15, 2020 Posted May 15, 2020 Sorry for the delay y'all! I usually check in after work, but I went straight into drinking yesterday after hearing that I'm going to be stuck inside for another 3 months.

clue Posted May 15, 2020 Author Posted May 15, 2020 Another pretty solid round. I'm happy  Spoiler Take a Chance on Me It was okay. Really nothing I would listen to again. Dive A slow burner. It's very good, but it's not a favorite of mine from 7. Space Song So neither of y'all sent my favorite song from each respective Beach House album, huh? This is also still good, though. Nights on Broadway This is actually nice. I like the production Cloudbusting BEYOND a classic. One of the best songs ever. Running Up That Hill (A Deal with God) BEYOND a classic. [2] Like one of the most influential pop songs ever? This Woman's Work I'd be happy with an all Kate top 3. Y'all banned her in STYLE. Whew. This ****ing song is SOOOOOOOOOO beautiful. Ms. Jackson I'll admit, it's not one of my favorite OutKast songs, actually. The Way You Move >. It's still a good song, and smart choice nonetheless. Call Your Girlfriend I've never been a huge fan of this. I like the lyrics, but the instrumental isn't interesting to me. The Sweetest Taboo This sultry, sexy CLASSIC. I have never been able to get into Sade, but I love this. Is It Cold in the Water? WHEWW. I love this so much. The future of ballads Cruel Absolute classic. Strange Mercy Lowkey her best song??? Drew Barrymore I'm not a massive fan of this, it has always stuck out like a sore thumb for me as filler on Ctrl. Sorry. It's definitely not a bad song, but it's a skip for me. The Weekend We have decided to ASCEND. One of my favorite songs ever. I'm So Excited The weakest song out of the bunch for me. I cannot believe you switched from the MASTERPIECE that you had before to this. I-. It's not bad, but it does nothing for me. In Your Eyes This had to grow on me, ngl. But it's a VERY nice song. I am gonna say again that he's not gonna be able to rely on the 80s shtick for much longer, though. Maps BITCH IT'S THE SERVEEEEEE. I didn't pay attention to this song until the beginning of the year when I randomly stumbled upon it. It has become a CLASSIC for me. Tom Vercetti Posted May 15, 2020 Posted May 15, 2020 ABBA - Take a Chance on Me Never cared for Abba and this song doesn't really do it for me. Beach House - Dive Not even top 3 on 7. It's not a bad song but it's not really a standout here either. Beach House - Space Song Now this is their fan favorite for a reason Bee Gees - Nights on Broadway A non Saturday Night Fever submission from the Bee Gees is perhaps one of the most random decisions made here. I don't mind the song but this round is pretty strong so I can see this getting lost in the background. Kate Bush - Cloudbusting This won atrl's kate bush discography rate that @clue hosted. Does it deserve that much credit? Idk but it's still a classic nonetheless. Kate Bush - Running Up That Hill (A Deal with God) A top 7 song of all time according to rym. Its placement is kind of debatable but still a classic nonetheless. [2] Kate Bush - This Woman's Work I can admire this song even though i've never really had much attachment to it. Still trying to decide whether this or Maxwell's cover is better. OutKast - Ms. Jackson A Blassic that still gets play today. Robyn - Call Your Girlfriend This is nice~ Sade - The Sweetest Taboo I really love this song and it's one of the reasons why Promise is her best album. SOPHIE - Is It Cold in the Water? She decided to ascend with the vocals served here St. Vincent - Cruel One of my favorite St. Vincent songs from back when I used to listen to her a lot. St. Vincent - Strange Mercy This 1-2 punch from Annie SZA - Drew Barrymore It's alright. SZA - The Weekend It's alright [2] The Pointer Sisters - I'm So Excited but anyway, yeah i'm just not into this. Perhaps if you stuck with the original choice but as of now, eh. The Weeknd - In Your Eyes He did the 80s revivalism schtick successfully here. Yeah Yeah Yeahs - Maps Solid entry. *Thumbs Up* @bestfiction @Hug @kipperskipper @minho @mokitsu @Navyofbadgals @Not Like The Movies @Overprotected @Rence @touya kinomoto @Auburn @Diarrhoea @Element @Fruity @Psycho @thecptz @Touch It @Witch Privilege

Touch It Posted May 15, 2020 Posted May 15, 2020 Take a Chance on Me: eh Dive: it's really nice Space Song: it's also really nice Nights on Broadway: fkdkskks eh Cloudbusting: it's pretty nice I feel like something is missing in it idk? but the ending of the song is rlly nice Running Up That Hill (A Deal with God): this was really good from start to finish, better than the song before it This Woman's Work: it's nice but it's no running up that hill a deal with god Ms. Jackson: it's a classic but it's just alright to me Call Your Girlfriend: a bop! The Sweetest Taboo: I like this Is It Cold in the Water?: interesting song Cruel: cool im getting bored of these acclaimed songs Strange Mercy: nice Drew Barrymore: BEST SONG OF ALL TIME The Weekend: SECOND BEST SONG OF ALL TIME I'm So Excited: a cute bop yeaa In Your Eyes: WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Maps: im tired of the acclaimed songs im tired of it
smholiv Posted May 15, 2020 Posted May 15, 2020 Take a Chance on Me: Not really what I'm into. Dive: Beach House are interesting to certain people I guess. They rarely do anything for me. Space Song: This one is better I suppose. Nights on Broadway: I'm unfamiliar with their catalogue but this is a unique entry. Cloudbusting: Pretty artsy but in a rewarding way. Nice. Running Up That Hill: This is even better. This Woman's Work: I was skeptical at first but it picked up a bit. Ms. Jackson: Absolute classic, absolute legends. their discography is kind of impeccable Call Your Girlfriend: I might be an ORH. The Sweetest Taboo: Nice entry, not a standout but good. Is It Cold in the Water?: I was a bit afraid ngl because I'm not into SOPHIE's music, but this was actually interesting. Cruel: Originally my first choice. Not actually a huge fan but it's kind of a bop. Strange Mercy: Nice song, will be interesting to see how it stacks against the rest. Drew Barrymore: A classic, a classic The Weekend: A BOP, glad that there was one. I'm So Excited: Fun song, interesting choice for the round. In Your Eyes: Was Blinding Lights banned? It's a good song nonetheless. Maps: An indie classic, but I prefer other songs of theirs.
Navyofbadgals Posted May 15, 2020 Posted May 15, 2020 Take a Chance on me: what a weird pick it’s not terrible I guess but pls Dive: yup!!! This is really nice. I prefer lemon glow from this album though, but this is still a great entrih Space Song: the way this sucks the energy out of me in the best way possible YUPPP Nights On Broadway: an even more random pick than ABBA i think I prefer this one slightly though, because it’s a lil more unique but it’s still not the best pick ever Cloudbusting - never really got into ha I can appreciate this for what it serves but it’s not really doing it for me Running Up That Hill - I def prefer this one! It’s a bit more accessible pop-y than cloudbusting without losing the artsy spirit This Woman’s Work - this is v pretty! I prefer running, but this is better than cloudbusting for me Ms. Jackson - def a classic Cute Call Your Girlfriend - I might be an ORH. (2) The Sweetest Taboo - this is v cute! Is It Cold In The Water? - AHHHHHH Yes!!!! An incredible song Cruel: ahhhh when this was higher than Cheerleader in ASC>>>> remember that @mokitsu Anyways this is a yes from me x Strange Mercy - prolly her best song great pick, I’m loving this 1-2 PUNCH Drew Barrymore - this aged for me a lil but it’s still pretty nice The Weekend - this was always overrated it’s still nice tho but yeah x I’m So Excited - I see this is completing the trinity of bee gees and abba of weird picks of this round huh This is not bad but it’s a bit corny In Your Eyes - he ATE YUPPP Maps - not really my thing sorree, it’s a bit.. repetitive?
