The sequel did slow down (-31% boxoffice decline), but you can hardly call it a flop with $114 million earned. The song just didn't catch on with public as Ellie and Weeknd's songs did last year.

also Ellie and Weekend promoted their songs. there's no live televised performance by Zayn and Tay of their songs. that also hurt it popularity

Yes, to some degree it did. But live performance is the only promotion it didn't have - music video uploaded on 3 different channels (with enormous fan bases), this song being the only one from the movie featured in the tv commercials for the movie (constantly played for weeks before the movie premiered), multiple weeks promotion for being discounted on itunes, great support from radio.

@simmnfierzig can Stay go Top 10 in a week or two?

Discount should easily be enough to make it top 10, yeah

yes, all taylor did for promo was that lazy cheap music video even i've only watched once.

though i like playing it while not watching it.

Can't believe that Cheap Thrills rip-off is gonna be one of the biggest songs of all time :rip:

It was released as a single in October '16 :ahh:

Yes, and only spent 20 weeks on the chart :rip: The bare minimum :toofunny2:

Rockabye deserved better.

HUMBLE. pulling through as expected. :duca:  Well I didn't foresee 4m+ at Spotify but more the merrier! Should make up if sales don't push back past 100k, which seems likely since it's pretty level with Bruno. We can assume Apple Music #s are higher? @simmnfierzig

And it's entered Pandora charts!

I actually wouldn't assume that. Last week, 56% of HUMBLE.'s ODS originated from Spotify. That's pretty high for an urban artist, and likely has to do with the fact that he's never partaken in AM exclusives.

Hoping Bruno snatches. Wouldn't mind if Kendrick snatches this week though. :-*

The Cure top 10 debut

I think we should wait 24-48 hours before.

Gaga has a massive fanbase.

PI went #1 in under an hour I believe but started plummeting from the next day onwards.

does she have a radio deal/Spotify playlisting?

No. If any song "deserves" 20 weeks at #1, it was Uptown Funk. If it weren't for the SYA surprise, UF would've gotten 17 weeks. UF deserved that record. SYA should've waited three more weeks so UF could've got the accolades it deserved.

It's a fun, enjoyable song, no reason to hate it.

I think it'll slow down, but it'd be interesting to see "I Don't Wanna Live Forever" fall out of the top 50 before it hits 20 weeks. That hasn't happened to a big hit in a while.

I'm asking as a genuine question: do you intend to anger people on this site? You always have the opinion that is the opposite of what everyone else thinks. Are these your real opinions or do you just want to argue with people?? I'm not trying to be rude at all, just wondering.

OT: I hope The Cure can do what the Joanne singles couldn't. Have some longevity in the top 10.

Hey bro .These are my real opinions. I love ed's music. I just gave my opinion. Yeah I am not like other people on this site. Most people on this site are gays who likes pop girls ,they think that pop girls are superior to every one, (but gp is disagree). I am a straight man and I just like good music I don't care if artist is a male, female or some band, ?
