Individual immunity is back up for grabs... The challenge for Round 10 is... Going Viral It’s time to get #ATRLSurvivor trending! This round is a brand new challenge -- it’s a bit creative so let your minds run wild with ideas. All the time on ATRL now, we see a thread that says “X goes viral”… trending songs and memorable memes are born every single day on the Internet. Most recently, apps like TikTok have taken music to a different level of listener engagement, with various new hits like “Roxanne” and “Say So” (stream the video now!) taking off on the internet prior to traditional platforms. For this challenge, you are going to create the next ten viral trends in music! We want each of you to submit a song that you think has the potential to go viral. The song should not be a massive hit; it can be one that has yet to reach its peak on the charts, or a song that is relatively unknown. Your goal is to balance creativity with realism — the judges should find your entry to be unique and interesting, but still see that your song could actually go viral on the internet. You will accompany your song choice with a graphic/image and a paragraph, both helping describe how your song goes viral. Your paragraph will walk us through exactly what your “viral moment” is… whether it’s something like a dance craze or something like Charlotte Awbery! You can talk about the history of the viral song, how it takes off, the chart response, etc. But remember that you are trying to pick a song that has the proper sound and lyrics to go viral. I think what made this song go so viral is because its a fun, bragging song that gave lots of room for funny memes and joking. And it wasnt your usual bragging song. While most songs tend to shame side chicks, this song is one of the first to BRAG about being a side chick. I'm a firm believer that if you feel like you're in ANY danger, you should use the item, so that's what I did. I don't feel unsafe at all this round, frankly. Coming after me doesn't make sense for anyone, in whatever position they may be. It would just be kinda pointless and random? So yeah, I'm ok.
