It’s not the maximum points because they didn’t focus on partying enough. Good job, tho! URBAN - 9.5 A strong entry for this round. They’re having fun, enjoying the moment, and although broke, fully confident. They’re aware that their bills will still need to be paid after this night of fun is over, but they’re living in the moment. The only thing I wish, it’s that some verses were less about hooking up and more about just partying (this was mostly Pitbulls doing). kipperskipper - 9.5 Very great and nearly perfect song choice. I think you really checked all the boxes. They are emphasizing the euphoria they feel, boasting about their lifestyle, and are aware that it is a limited feeling. Good job! thecptz - 9.5 Getting drunk in the club, ****ing the girl, partying every night whew! What a lavish lifestyle! Now tbh, this is a great entry. The singers know that after this ends, they will have to face the sad reality again lmao. Like urban said, i wish they mentioned about partying more. Dierks Bentley - Tip It On Back prézli - 8 It’s not a bad entry, but it feels like worrying about money is a little too much. Even though, there are lines that says the opposite (e.g. “Sip a little more than you know you should”), I don’t feel that carefree vibe what the task requires. URBAN - 8 Like the previous entry, it hits the mark about enjoying the high and not wanting to lose the feeling (going back to reality), but it lacks confidence. Additionally, he wasn’t really boasting about his lavish lifestyle, mostly describing the feeling over and over. The song was more chill and laid back. kipperskipper - 8 It’s pretty good, but not fitting the theme 100%. We are still looking for that boastfulness of a lavish night out. I think that is all the song is really missing. thecptz - 8 Aw now where is the lavish lifestyle that is one of the requirements in this round? You pretty nailed the being high and knowing that this moment will end. Paris Hilton - Good Time (feat. Lil Wayne) prézli - 6.5 Oh wow, Paris escapes into partying, what a news. Well, there is a huge missing point: she doesn’t mention the ugly reality at all. I mean, paparazzi might disturb her, but that’s far away from the real reality. URBAN - 7.5 It really emphasizes that she’s tipsy and having a good time, but nowhere in this song (other than Wayne’s verse) does she mention that the high will wear off and that she will go back to facing reality. kipperskipper - 8 Nnnn love the song choice. But it’s like every song so far is missing one component of the prompt. This time this song is missing the fact that the singer is aware that the high will end. But Paris doesn’t ever express that. Otherwise, it’s still a solid pick. thecptz - 8 Awww she’s having fun and that’s great!! Its just sad that you missed the twist part. Skrizzly Adams - Take a Sip prézli - 8 Sonically, this is horrible, I don’t get the partying feeling at all. But the lyrics kind of fit the theme, but there are parts that really don’t where he’s not confident (e.g. “Thinking damn can we get it on but / I always end up drinking on my own”). Overall, it’s good. URBAN - 9 You definitely hear the boastfulness in the lyrics and the delivery, especially in the beginning when he talks about not wanting to ball out. Also, he’s very in love with himself. Another great entry, but it lacked that twist we’re asking for in this round. Although he did mention he didn’t want the alcohol high to stop, he didn’t really go into detail as to why he didn’t want to go back to reality. kipperskipper - 8 Hmm i feel this song is reminiscent to Tip It On Back so refer to those critiques xx thecptz - 8.5 Another great entry from this round that kinda misses the twist element and rl asked. The line ‘i’m watching all these pretty girls walk by / thinkin damn can we get along but / i always end up drinking by myself’ is not that confident tho, methinks. But, its a good entry. Blake Shelton - All About Tonight prézli - 8.5 He’s a trash. It’s one of the better entries this round, but I agree with thecptz. He doesn’t ignore reality fully and the song has a bit depressive feeling. URBAN - 9 The alcohol reference is there. He’s living for tonight and even brought along some buddies that love spending money. Another entry that hits the mark, until it comes to the twist the theme called for. kipperskipper - 9 All these damned ****ry songs. It’s cuz they all love to drink huh. N E Ways, it’s pretty good. It checks the boxes but it still needs that extra push to be a 10. It’s like 90% there. thecptz - 9 I think the first verse is kinda about him acknowledging that in the morning, it will be the same ol’ sad life. I think this is another great entry but i just wish it mentioned about the partying part only, but maybe his lavish lifestyle includes a girl? Idk mam. Lady Gaga - So Happy I Could Die prézli - 8 I wish the lyric was deeper and told more about the problems. She focuses on herself much more than she should have. It’s one of the fewest entries where the singer knows real life is bad, so here she keeps drinking/enjoying herself/partying until she dies. URBAN - 9 OMG! Nostalgic AF. One of my fave Gaga songs. The alcohol reference is there, so is the confidence, but it lacks context as far as deeply emphasizing the vulnerability. kipperskipper - 8 Hmmm it’s doing it’s job, but it aint employee of the month :tehe: It’s a solid entry I just wished it emphasized the criteria a bit more. thecptz - 8.5 Yeah like urban said, i think we need more context about it. Its a great entry but like is touching yourself all night a lavish lifestyle? but you nailed the twist part tbh. Rihanna - Cheers (Drink to That) prézli - 10 Yup! URBAN - 10 Woo! Ms. Fenty SNAPPED with this song. This verse alone covered the entire theme including the twist: “Life’s too short to be sittin’ round miserable/ People gonna’ talk whether you’re doing bad or good/ Got a drink on my mind and my mind on my money/ Looking so bomb gonna find me a honey/ Got my Ray-Ban’s on and I’m feeling hella cool tonight”. The alcohol reference is there, the confidence is there, she’s boasting about feeling cool with her Ray-Ban’s on, she knows that she’ll have to deal with the bastards (bull****) when the high is over, but not tonight! Cheers to THAT! kipperskipper - 9 Yasss, this was a great pick! Cheers to that! But… I agree with Z monster. I don’t see where she acknowledges that the high will end. thecptz - 9 This pretty nailed in the being high and feeling yourself aspect but i really don’t see where she recognises that once the boost wears off, all the happy moment will be gone. Nicki Minaj - The Night is Still Young prézli - 7 "I never worry, life is a journey" Hm, really? Because the task requires the opposite. It’s not quite there for me, but is still better than that Paris Hilton song because Nicki at least mentions the reality somewhere between the lines. URBAN - 8.5 Woo, Ms. Minaj low-key did that. A fun, alcohol theme fitting entry, but no emphasis on the twist. All the other marks were hit though. I felt the confidence, fun, and she boasted a bit. kipperskipper - 9 So close. Im starting to think this round was too specific cuz I aint found a perfect song yet. I believe he drinks and smokes because he has woman problems, but still... Ewww... URBAN - 8.5 He’s really drunk huh? Lol. I was a bit confused by the lyrics, so I did some research and found out the story behind the salt shaker (cocaine) reference, very clever. kipperskipper - 8 Ehhh it’s more about him being a drunk. Idk, I feel a lot of other songs that were submitted have done a better job. It’s not bad, but not one of the better submissions. thecptz - 9.5 wait this kinda fits! From always getting drunk at the beach to finally realizing that he needs to stop. Great job! Barenaked Ladies - Alcohol prézli - 5 This is simply a song dedicated to the alcohol. NO. URBAN - 5 Ok, so he’s obsessed with alcohol, but where’s the boasting? There’s no confidence either, instead it sounds like he’s struggling with his addiction. It hits the theme when it comes to being drunk/high on life, but it lacks context in all other areas. kipperskipper - 6 This is an instance where it seems you got tricked by the songs title and didn’t focus on the subject matter of the song. This theme was more about having a fun/good time with alcohol and being aware that the fun will end. This is more about substance abuse. thecptz - 6 Now i think this is only about the singer’s love of alcohol and it’s kinda going nowhere? And i guess the singer talks about realizing that he needs to take control of himself but that’s it? Calvin Harris - Drinking From the Bottle prézli - 9 “I know this crazy life can be a bitter pill to swallow / So forget about tomorrow” The second line was my problem with the Nicki Minaj song, so thank god that the first line exists here. It’s not quite there because kind of misses the twist, but it’s almost there. URBAN - 9 This song is low-key annoying. It hits the theme of alcohol, boasting, you hear the confidence as well. It does mention that life can be tough to swallow and to forget about tomorrow, but it doesn’t specify why that is. For example, “Time Of Our Lives” specifies that they’re short on money for the bills, but they’ll worry about that after their fun. kipperskipper - 9 Again, it is like 90% there. I have mixed feelings on this, but it still fits the theme better than other entries here because she mentions that she runs away from the reality (“headlines”) into partying. URBAN - 9 Fits the theme (alcohol/high) very well, it even slightly incorporates the twist as it seems she’s escaping the headlines and will have to face them again after her high, but there wasn’t much boasting or talk about having a lavish life. kipperskipper - 9 LOVE this song, best one sent. Buttttt we aren’t judging off of how much we like the song. I am gonna repeat myself again, but this time it’s not boasting that lavish lifestyle. thecptz - 10 I- OMG to the person who sent in this song, i freaking love you. You know how much i love teen hottie. And this song, WHEW CHILE, it hits the theme in every aspect. Like in the last outro that she mentions about after all of these, there is no perfect places. PERFECT! Rita Ora - Hell of a Life prézli - 7 Kids, drugs are bad. I just don’t like how depressive this content is. She isn’t confident at all, all that she mentions is the fear of facing reality. URBAN - 7 At first I was wondering where this song was going. It wasn’t until the following line: “Burnin' another day/Wasted and feeling great”, that I realized she was high off drugs and alcohol presumably. Other than hitting the theme and slightly hitting the twist by mentioning she’s running away from her problems, the song mostly refers to her escaping/hooking-up with someone to fill in some kind of void or possibly keep getting high. The top half of the cast for that specific round will then be able to search the grid. Please post your choice in the thread with the corresponding letter and number of the spot you wish to search. If I wanted to search the square at the top left of the entire grid, for example, I would post "A1" in the thread. All guesses must be done publicly, and once you choose your square for the round, you can not edit/change your pick. It is final and it is first come first serve. If someone steals the space you wanted, then unfortunately you will have to pick a different one. If you find something among the stars, the hosts will private message you. After the guesses are done, we will usually post something along the lines of "all items for this round have been distributed" in the thread -- if you have not received a PM at that point, it means your guess was unsuccessful. The grid will be continuously updated with marks on each previously chosen space and the guessing will begin again on the open spaces.
