Adele's 21 surpasses Carole King’s Tapestry
for the most weeks on the Billboard 200 chart for an album by a woman, as the 2011 album notches its 319th week on the list dated April 15, beating Tapestry’s 318 weeks.

21 (which is No. 103 on the latest chart) has been on the tally every week since its No. 1 debut on March 12, 2011. The album spent 24 nonconsecutive weeks at the top.

I'm not feeling like calculating / analyzing, so someone tell me is it possible 21 will beat it?

927 weeks is around 17 years. So Adele could break it in 11 years from now but Pink Floyd had to be taken off from charts right now.

Honestly, TDSOTM's streams are great for a progressive rock album released in 1972. Almost every track has 10M+ streams on Spotify.

They stayed on the chart for 770~ CONSECUTIVE weeks. 1972 to 1989 i guess. (Edit; it was 592 weeks & from 1976 to 1988)

plus Billboard had a rule blocking catalog albums from charting on BB200. it was cancelled in 2008-2009, since then, they charted 150~ Weeks more :jonny:

Oh i remembered wrong then.

but it's even more impressive since Billboard had a rule blocking Catalog albums
