Motivation was really good. I'll definitely be keeping up with Normani in the future. :clap3:

Wait I enjoy all of #50-43, whew!!! Well actually I haven't heard Regulars yet because I'm waiting for the album (she has spoiled us too much already) but I know I'll enjoy it. But the only Allie X song you've liked this year??? What's up with THAT

Touch & Go, I Don't Miss You at All, Nightmare, Motivation and Adore You are especially great :clap3:

Posted

The more I listen to Touch & Go , the more I appreciate it :heart2: A gem

Solita is cute but I think Kali is one of those girls whose singles are her weakest songs (love her to bits and can't wait for the album). It's a nice chill jam though.

Motivation :clap3:

Nightmare is kinda ass  Without Me outsold>>

t @ Astrid :oh: Emotion was flawless, Someone New was a cute bop but the EP was tragic :fan:

Nightmare deserved better :'( Regulars is okay but I only use Rings a Bell from the new songs :keir:

Insomnia is a big bop :clap3: Motivation is alright too :flower:

TOP 50 SINGLES: #40 / #36

#40 Teyana Taylor, Kehlani - Morning

This hot combo served a sultry R&B bop.

#39 Katy Perry - Never Really Over

It was a cute hit but it deserved to smash smash :'( great comeback for Katy, too bad she released Small Trash after it.

#38 Tiesto, Mabel - God Is A Banger

Generic af but damn what a banger. Me and @Thickorita are still shaking @ 0.53

#37 J.Cole - Middle Child

He finally got a proper hit and we can see why it was this one, it still goes :jamming:

#36 Lana del Rey - California

Best song on NFR, the chorus is majestic. Yup yup yup yup

NRO :clap3: Zedd snapped with the production and Katy snapped with the vocals :clap3:

Yess, Never Really Over is a bop :katie2:

Great comeback for Katy!

I like Small Talk

But I agree it may not be the best choice to release as a single.

i'll never forget you messaging me about the song just as i was at the supermarket and me scrambling for instagram to open the link and then listening to it and trying to contain myself about the excellence in the bakery section in front of everyone :jonny:

let me see what you've conjured up for the rest of the list

TOP 50 SINGLES: #35 / #31

#35 Sam Fender - Will We Talk?

One of the best discoveries of the year, his album is full of catchy alternative rock anthems and this is my fave.

#34 Tame Impala - Borderline

Clearly the best song from The Slow Rush so far, Kevin did that with this. Loved it since the SNL debut.

#33 Tove Lo - Bad As The Boys (feat. ALMA)

This is the Tove Lo I know and I love. It's the only track on Sunshine Kitty that really won me, sadly the album felt rather bland to me.

#32 DISGUSTING RATS - Señorita

I hate both of them with passion but this was IT, the perfect chill summer track. I'll give all the credit to legends Andrew Watt and Ali Tamposi

#31 Post Malone - Take What You Want (feat. Ozzy Osbourne, Travis Scott)

One of the most surprising tracks of the year. Such an anthem, literally invented trap-rock

Recap:

31. Post Malone - Take What You Want (feat. Ozzy Osbourne, Travis Scott)

32. Shawn Mendes, Camila Cabello - Senorita

33. Tove Lo - Bad As The Boys (feat. ALMA)

34. Tame Impala - Borderline

35. Sam Fender - Will We Talk?

36. Lana del Rey - California

37. J.Cole - Middle Child

38. Tiesto, Mabel - God Is A Dancer

39. Katy Perry - Never Really Over

40. Teyana Taylor, Kehlani - Morning

41. Regard - Ride It

42. Kali Uchis - Solita

43. Harry Styles - Adore You

44. Normani - Motivation

45. Halsey - Nightmare

46. Allie X - Regulars

47. Finneas - I Don’t Miss You At All

48. Daya - Insomnia

49. Tinashe - Touch & Go

50. Astrid S - Someone New

#50 Astrid S - Someone New

She let us down this year didn't she, still no album and music getting worse release after release. At least this was a solid bop thanks to charli xcx

we really hate to see it. this one never clicked with me but i did kinda like the first one

#48 Daya - Insomnia

I've never liked her but this is a great pop song, I love the trance sound. It aged quite a bit for me but it used to go off in the first half of the year.

whew i remember being obsessed with this for a little while. we LUV anything that sounds like it could be on fever

#46 Allie X - Regulars

The only song I used from her this year but hey better than nothing! The chorus is very catchy.

every song on her last project was a punch so i've been underwhelmed by the last singles too. this one is my favourite out of them as well but i feel zero desire to listen to it.

#45 Halsey - Nightmare

This deserved so much better even if it aged not that well to me. Song, video, everything >

ahhhh her best song. she's been giving the give all year.

#42 Kali Uchis - Solita

Another recently released song. Queen of quality reggaeton, I'm SO excited for her album after this and the excellence that was Isolation

LUV this but as soon as 10% was released i forgot all about it. what a sing (and album)

#41Regard - Ride It

The perfect UK EDM-end-of-summer jam

so timeless :jonny5: kinda the this girl/one kiss of this summer for me. brings out the summer nostalgia and memories.

an abundance of taste so far, although we'll ignore the inclusion of harry  :chick1:

At first I didn't like Señorita but in the last weeks I heard the song again and I now I really like it. It's a bop :katie2:

NRO is a song that got old quick but I'm happy for her that she released a song that was her core sound and not trying to adapt to trends.

California is a good song, not my fave but probably in the mid-high tier from the album.

I have really mixed opinions of Mabel....

Posted

Moring was nice, but I expected more dope from them :'(

NRO SLAYS :alexz:

God is a Dancer issa major jam :katie2:

Bad as the Boys is cute, but I liked their other collabs more

Posted

Borderline and Bad As The Boys slay!!

NRO is a great comeback for Katy. You lied about Cali being the best song on NFR though

Never Really Over + Take What You Want :jamming:

Take What You Want :clap3:

also California is NOT the best song on NFR.. ermm

would even go as far and say it's on the bottom half on the album (though every song on it is good so..)
