ARTPØP Posted December 17, 2019 Author Posted December 17, 2019 (edited) #10 Tove Lo - "Anywhere U Go" Quote Tove really ended her amazing new record with this glorious bop! The production and verses really remind me of her QOTC era tbh. This is just a perfect summery bop that I can't get enough of <3 ✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨ #9 Carly Rae Jepsen - "Body Language" Quote Body Language has always been one of my absolute favorites off of Side B! I love the 80s sound that Carly brings with this one and I found myself really bopping to it a lot this year. ✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨ #8 Clairo - "Bags" Quote Clairo really came for me with this one. I just love how chilling this song is, yet it's still a bop. It's very different to a lot of pop songs I've heard and I love it. ✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨ #7 Melanie Martinez - "High School Sweethearts" Quote Wow Melanie really slayed me hard with this one! Definitely one of her best songs ever. The verses kinda serve Marina's HTBAHB, however, the chorus is explosive and really gets me going! ✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨ #6 Carly Rae Jepsen - "Happy Not Knowing" Quote Hope the amount of Carly tracks on here aren't giving you any heartburn Another really cute bop from the Queen of Disco Sweat! ✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨ #5 NOTD ft. Tove Styrke - "Been There Done That" Quote NOTD really know how to serve bops whether it's this track, "So Close" or their track with Bea Miller. I kinda felt like I was cheating on Tove Lo with this Tove Styrke track, but it's too infectious to resist. ✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨ #4 Maren Morris - "Sugar" Quote I've always been a fan of Maren, but she really slayed my last half of 2019 tbh. I know this album has been out for over 3 years, but this song is just the perfect little country pop bop I didn't know I needed! ✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨ #3 P!nk - "(Hey Why) Miss You Sometime" Quote Hands down one of my absolute fave P!nk songs ever; and a very underrated one, if that. P!nk really served early 2000s pop girl sounds with this bop and I was living for it all year! ✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨ #2 Taylor Swift - "Cruel Summer" Quote When there was chatter that this was a big bop prior to the release of Lover, I was skeptical. However, the Swifties were right -- this is one of Taylor's biggest and best bops of her career tbh! Why this wasn't the lead single is beyond me, a perfect radio bop for the Summer! Also, the bridge of this song is glorious and is classic Taylor Edited December 17, 2019 by ARTPØP
ARTPØP Posted December 17, 2019 Author Posted December 17, 2019 (edited) ✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨ #1 Carly Rae Jepsen "Want You In My Room" Quote As if my avi didn't already give it away This is hands down not only one of my most listened to songs of 2019, but one of my favorite songs ever! Carly Rae Jepsen is literally the most underrated pop music queen of all time, and she really knew how to serve the best blend of 80s/disco jams on her recent album! Everything from the flawless production, the continuous cow-bell throughout the song, to the shouting chorus, this song is just an ethereal experience from start to finish. Even the video Carly serves iconic looks! My only complaint is that it's wayyyy too short!!!!! ✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨ Edited December 17, 2019 by ARTPØP

ARTPØP Posted December 18, 2019 Author Posted December 18, 2019 (edited) TOP ALBUMS OF 2019 ✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨ #10 Charli XCX - "Charli" Quote I will say that Charli really delivered the best tracks of this album prior to the album's release. However, I'm just really happy she released an album this year after such a long wait! I do think this album has plenty of gems, including the amazing "1999" and "White Mercedes." However, some of it is a bit too harsh for my ears to handle, and I wanted to be excited about "2099," but the noises in the song are too grating for me, tbh. ✨Fave Tracks ✨ Next Level Charli Gone Cross You Out 1999 Blame It On Your Love White Mercedes Silver Cross ✨Least Fave Tracks ✨ Click Warm Shake It 2099 ✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨ #9 P!nk - "Hurts 2B Human" Quote It's crazy to me that P!nk released an album this year; I feel like it was barely promoted or talked about. I do think that this album has a lot of bops to it, more than I was expecting! Part of me feels like this album was just a group of leftovers/B-sides, however, I'm not complaining, because it is pretty good. I will say tho that I HATE that the title is spelled with "2B" ....v corny. ✨Fave Tracks ✨ (Hey Why) Miss You Sometime Walk Me Home Hurts 2B Human Can We Pretend Courage Happy ✨Least Fave Tracks ✨ We Could Have It All Circle Game Edited December 18, 2019 by ARTPØP
