Amy Winehouse - "Tears Dry On Their Own"

3wFhZsJ.jpg

Quote

I really found myself falling back in love with Amy Winehouse and her music this past year.

This is definitely one of her best songs, and the thought of her not being with us anymore still haunts me.:weeps:

#49

Hippo Campus - "Way It Goes"

58uwPGf.jpg

Quote

If anybody needs a cool and relaxing jam then I'd definitely recommend this song.

This song is very relatable and usually puts me in a chill mood.

#48

Sigrid - "Sight Of You"

R6KeqeA.jpg

Quote

Sigrid quickly became one of my favorite up and coming artists of 2019.

Her debut album is one of my favorite pop girl debuts of the past few years, and this is def one of my faves from it.

#47

Ellie Goulding - "Do You Remember"

Nz758oF.jpg

Quote

Out of all the songs that Ellie put out this year, I'd say this one has the most signature "Ellie sound" to it.

I really need her to release an album soon, because I'm not a person that likes a random single every few months. I need a whole body of work.

#46

Miley Cyrus ft. Ghostface Killah - "D.R.E.A.M."

SvWrMm9.png

Quote

No pun intended, but this song definitely knows how to put me in a dreamy state of mind.

I will say that Ghostface's verse is completely unneeded and comes at a very strange part of the song.

#45

AJR - "Drama"

A1xyZQE.jpg

Quote

I've lowkey been jamming to AJR since "I'm Ready" however, this album has hella bops.

This and "Burn The House Down" are lowkey really good songs to listen to when you're pregaming with friends hehe

#44

Dominic Fike - "3 Nights"

kBi0lSr.jpg

Quote

Definitely a really cool indie-popish jam.

I'm aware this was a relatively big hit overseas, I'd hear it on the radio here every so often and refused to turn it off.

#43

Loote - "Your Side Of The Bed"

SQwkTIz.png

Quote

This song honestly slaps! I just love how explosive the chorus is; I can't help but scream along to it.

I love how the verses are quite and build up to the chorus.

#42

EVAN GIIA - "WESTWORLD"

uT6krs8.jpg

Quote

This song got a bit overplayed for me, but it's def a bop that reminds me of my last semester of college.

This was a song that was always playing in my apartment before a night out with friends.

#41

Kat Dahlia - "I Think I'm In Love"

uOKthn4.jpg

Quote

An older bop, but nonetheless a great song.

My friend introduced it to me earlier this year and every so often I felt the need to blast it loud. x

Astrid S - "Doing To Me"

rBBnMxX.jpg

Quote

Astrid is sooo underrated!!

Every so often she comes out of nowhere with a bop that slays me, and this is one of them.

#39

Carly Rae Jepsen - "I'll Be Your Girl"

O8jGly9.jpg

Quote

Carly Rae really is my Queen and this is just one of my faves from the Dedicated album.

I love how fast pace this song is, yet still has that touch of 80s magic Carly brings to her songs.

#38

Absofacto - "Dissolve"

3LvIqi0.jpg

Quote

A jam if I ever knew one.

I just love how funky and mesmerizing this song and it's production are.

#37

Billie Eilish - "Bellyache"

5FMK8WM.jpg

Quote

I know I'm v late, but the Don't Smile At Me EP is miles superior to WWAFAWDWG? if you ask me.

I hate that it took me until this year to get into Billie, but I'm so happy I did cuz this song knocks!

#36

Mark Ronson ft. Lykke Li - "Late Night Feelings"

Zd1i5Lf.jpg

Quote

Mark really served the funky, disco-ish vibes with this recent album!

This song just puts me in a fell good mood. Lykke Li's vocals are so captivating.

#35

Litany - "My Dude"

cRmvMRL.jpg

Quote

Heard this song while I was out shopping one day and have been hooked ever since!
Such a cute & lowkey song about falling for someone <3

#34

Post Malone ft. Meek Mill & Lil Baby - "On The Road"

OTV6oWA.jpg

Quote

Posty really came thru with Hollywood's Bleeding.

I'm not the biggest rap/hip-hop fan, but his music is just the right blend of pop and rap that I love.

This is definitely a bop and one of my faves from the record.

#33

Alessia Cara - "Ready"

cyHqSmR.jpg

Quote

Alessia really came thru with her "This Summer" EP.

This song is really underrated and I'd love to see her have another hit with the gp!

#32

Taylor Swift - "Death By A Thousand Cuts"

JprTz3r.jpg

Quote

Taylor really snapped on this one with the production.

I love the flow of this song, and I personally could see it making a great single down the line.

#31

blackbear - "Hate My Guts"

Bq6imAy.jpg

Quote

Blackbear's music is v underrated if you ask me.

I love the beat that this song has going on.

Tove Lo ft. Kylie Minogue - "Really Don't Like U"

K7g5Pmo.png

Quote

Although I'm not a big Kylie fan, I was still in awe that Tove managed to get a collab with her on her new record.

This song did not disappoint either! I think we've all been in those situations where we're like, "ugh why is that person with that person and not me!"

#29

Carly Rae Jepsen - "Turn Me Up"

37eJu2m.jpg

Quote

I've been a loyal and obsessed Carly fan since 2012, however, my true obsession with her blossomed this past year.

I always slept on this jam when Kiss first came out, and it wasn't until this year that I really got into it.

#28

Eddie Money - "Shakin"

Or3xKqW.jpg

Quote

I've always had a soft spot in me for classic rock and jams of the 60s/70s/80s.

This has always been a favorite of mine and I can't help but bop along to it!

Eddie Money sadly passed away not too long ago, RIP King :weeps::heart2:

#27

Alina Baraz ft. Khalid - "Electric"

eZChxho.jpg

Quote

There's just something about this song that puts me in some sort of hypnotic trance.

It's just so captivating. I found myself listening to this on a constant loop throughout the year.

#26

Billie Eilish - "Watch" / "&Burn"

t6uJSFT.jpg

Quote

Another one of my absolute faves from Ms. Billie.

I love how they're both the same song yet are two completely different versions.

When I want something more mellow and dreamier I listen to "Watch" and when I want something more intense I listen to "&Burn"

#25

MARINA - "Orange Trees"

zakkDTD.jpg

Quote

Marina's new album was a bit of a let down for me. Partially because she dropped the "And The Diamonds" from her name.

However, I'm so happy she blessed us with this bop. The perfect breezy summer tune, that's hard to ignore.

She looks absolutely stunning in the music video, too!

#24

Billie Eilish - "Bored"

F7Cwy1i.jpg

Quote

The last Billie song to appear on this chart, however, I think this became my favorite of hers.

The production and vocals are so whispery and dreamy that it instantly puts me in the most relaxed mood.

I also heavily relate to the lyrics, I'm always so damn bored.

#23

Foo Fighters - "Big Me"

cZghdvS.jpg

Quote

I've always been a fan of the Foo Fighters music and this song.

Earlier this year I was in Toronto with my family and I heard this playing in a casino and I was shook cuz I forgot all about it.

It's such an underrated bop!

#22

Wallows - "Pictures of Girls"

vmObCB7.jpg

Quote

Who knew that Clay from 13RW would make such good music?
This song is the perfect blend of chill and refreshing I was looking for. Definitely one of my fave jams of the year.

#21

Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young - "Woodstock"

Kp0flfC.jpg

Quote

After seeing my top 100 singles of 2019 and how it was filled with mostly mainstream pop, it may shock a lot of you to find an oldies classic rock song here but to tell you the truth my music taste is very varied and I listen to A LOT of classic vinyl in my spare time. This is definitely one of my most favorite songs ever. I'm so sad that I wasn't alive during this time period to experience the iconic woodstock festival. :weeps:

#20

Ava Max - "Blood, Sweat & Tears"

Orc6lZo.jpg

Quote

I think this might be one of my favorite bops that Ava has released thus far!

I would love to see her release a video for it sometime in the future.

#19

Amy Winehouse - "Stronger Than Me"

vVJmCSG.jpg

Quote

Like I said earlier, I think 2019 being the end of the decade made me miss Amy more than ever before.

This song quickly became one of my obsessions and something I found myself listening to when I needed a good driving jam.

The lyrics are pretty comical, if you ask me.

#18

Sigrid - "Don't Kill My Vibe"

HaUklA1.png

Quote

Ah another one from the pop queen that is Ms. Sigrid.

I know this is one of her more well known songs, however, it's just so relatable.

I find myself always screaming along to it when I need an uplifting and empowering bop.

#17

Ariana Grande - "Bad Idea"

FWqBWvn.png

Quote

I think this is my favorite off of the TU,N album because it's the most poppy of the songs.

However, I just think the production of this song is absolutely fire. The "Ari Chans" in the background are cute.

I do wish that the song wasn't so short and that the last minute wasn't just fizzled out production....

#16

Post Malone - "A Thousand Bad Times"

OTV6oWA.jpg

Quote

After Hollywood's Bleeding dropped, this instantly became one of my favorites from him.

I think the lyrics tell a really honest and realistic story. And I can totally see this becoming a big radio hit if it were to be released as a single.

#15

Thomas Rhett - "Look What God Gave Her"

1THnjEZ.png

Quote

Honestly there's nothing more to say about this song than it being a really cute bop.

Thomas is probably my favorite country artist out there, and I think the songs he writes about his wife are so wholesome and sweet.:heart2:

#14

Bastille - "Bad Decisions"

ES6WeQh.jpg

Quote

Bastille really delivered with their new record this year.

This is probably my favorite from Doom Days, the lyrics are so relatable and the song has a lot of emotional undertones despite being a bop.

#13

Ava Max - "Freaking Me Out"

6PuuiLB.jpg

Quote

The melody of this song is what makes me like it so much, I just like how fast-paced it is.

Ava just kept cranking out the pop bops this year and I surely wasn't complaining.

The video for this also suits the song very well.

#12

Tove Lo - "Stay Over"

J6RTnsP.png

Quote

Queen Tove always knows how to come through with the most amazing sexual bops.

I mean if you already have someone in your bed naked, why wouldn't they just stay over? :fan:

#11

Fleetwood Mac - "Say You Love Me"

xlh2LAl.jpg

Quote

Fleetwood Mac have always been one of, if not my most favorite bands ever.

This past year I purchased my own turn table and "Rumours" was the first record I bought for it.

Stevie Nicks is an absolute queen, but I also think that Christine McVie as lead is v underrated.
