ARTPØP Posted December 10, 2019 Author Posted December 10, 2019 (edited) #40 Carly Rae Jepsen - "Too Much" Quote Carly Rae came serving amazing 80s disco bops with her Dedicated era. This one took me a little bit to get into but once I did I was bopping to it so hard non-stop. ✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨ #39 Ellie Goulding & Juice WRLD - "Hate Me" Quote Ellie released a slew of cute, nonsensical bops this year and this was one of them. RIP Juice :( ✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨ #38 Mark Ronson ft. Camila Cabello - "Find U Again" Quote I'm really not the biggest fan of Camila's music but every so often there's a song that's a huge bop. I'm surprised this didn't take off more... it's kinda different structure-wise than other pop songs but it's a jam! ✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨ #37 Lauren Daigle - "You Say" Quote I held back from loving this cuz I thought it was a sad Adele clone. However, after I kept hearing it I began to love this so much. It really is such a beautiful song. ✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨ #36 Sigrid - "Don't Feel Like Crying" Quote Another bop from Ms. Sigrid. I think the ending of this song is the best part with the chorus and bridge mixed together. ✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨ #35 Ariana Grande - "God Is A Woman" Quote One of my absolute favorite singles released in 2018. It spent 10 weeks at #1 on my chart, and lingered on my top 40 for 44 weeks earning it such a high position on this countdown. I still haven't gotten tired of it yet tbh. We love a bop! ✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨ #34 Billie Eilish - "When The Party's Over" Quote Ahh Billie the queen of whispery sad jams. For me, I'm more of a Don't Smile At Me fan than WWAFA,WDWG? however, this is one of the better songs on the record. ✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨ #33 Carly Rae Jepsen - "Party For One" Quote Carly Rae served this cute little number in late 2018 to introduce the Dedicated era. We love a cute little self-love bop. I also think it's a perfect album closer. ✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨ #32 Ariana Grande - "Breathin" Quote I will forever be pissed that this got stuck at #12 on the Hot 100 earlier this year. Still one of her best jams to date. ✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨ #31 Tove Lo ft. ALMA - "Bad As The Boys" Quote Tove served yet another bop with this one. We love a bisexual chanteuse! Made for a perfect introduction to the Sunshine Kitty era and a late summer jam. Edited December 10, 2019 by ARTPØP
prézli Posted December 10, 2019 Posted December 10, 2019 This is my favorite list in this section, I must say. SORRY Y’ALL. We have similar taste, oh wow. I love EVERYTHING (except Billie, Sigrid (Idk ha) and Lauren (Idk ha)).
ARTPØP Posted December 10, 2019 Author Posted December 10, 2019 (edited) #30 Lauv & Troye Sivan - "I'm So Tired..." Quote I think both of their voices blend very nicely in this song. It's a really cool and chill bop, and Troye's verse is the best part of the song tbh! ✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨ #29 Ariana Grande - "Thank U, Next" Quote Ngl, I got tired of this song rather quickly. But like most of us it was a jam of mine towards the end of 2018/early 2019. I will say that the music video still remains one of my faves of the past year or so. ✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨ #28 Gryffin & Carly Rae Jepsen - "OMG" Quote Can you say underrated banger? My Queen came out of nowhere this summer and dropped this beast. I really wish this could've brought her back into the mainstream a little bit ✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨ #27 Bastille - "Quarter Past Midnight" Quote Bastille has always been severely underrated in my eyes. They release such bops and it's a shame that they don't get the recognition they deserve! ✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨ #26 Rita Ora - "Only Want You" Quote Unfortunately the last Rita jam you'll find on this year's countdown. One of the best songs off of Phoenix, and had the most potential to become a global smash. I definitely prefer the original over the 6lack remix, tho the remix isn't awful either. ✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨ #25 Marshmello & Bastille - "Happier" Quote Ah an instant classic - this one sees yet another year on my countdown. Hands down deserved to be one of the biggest singles of the year. It's a great tune (with a insanely sad video I might add). I'm sad that Bastille had to collaborate with a big-name DJ to score their second hit tho ✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨ #24 Ellie Goulding - "Sixteen" Quote Out of all of Ellie's singles of the past year or so I'd say this is my favorite. It's a cute lil bop, and is most reminiscent of her usual sound I'd say. I could've seen this fitting on Halcyon Days or Delirium easily. ✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨ #23 MARINA - "Handmade Heaven" Quote I will say that I was highly anticipating Marina's return this year and her new record did let me down a bit. However, this song is a masterpiece. Whenever I listen to it I feel as if I'm in a state of euphoria. Her voice and the production paired together creates such an ethereal feeling. ✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨ #22 Taylor Swift - "You Need To Calm Down" Quote One of my most favorite light-hearted single along bops of the year! Love that Taylor is showing her support for the gays with this one, and the drag Pop queens in the video is iconic. ✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨ #21 Dan + Shay - "Tequila" Quote Definitely one of my favorite country pop songs of the past year or so. I'm glad that Dan + Shay have been seeing some major success; I think their music is pretty great. Edited December 10, 2019 by ARTPØP

ARTPØP Posted December 11, 2019 Author Posted December 11, 2019 (edited) #20 Tove Lo - "Glad He's Gone" Quote Queen Tove came to save the summer with this breezy bop. And can we also discuss how the music video is hands down the best video of the year? The GP doesn't know what they're missing. ✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨ #19 Miley Cyrus - "Mother's Daughter" Quote Wow Miley came swinging hard this year with this banger (no pun intended ). My only problem with this song is that it seems too short. I think she should get rid of a few "oh My Gods" at the end and add in another chorus tbh. ✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨ #18 Bebe Rexha - "Last Hurrah" Quote Honestly one of the most underrated songs of the year, if you ask me. We love a dark relatable bop! This song got me thinkin' maybe I should stop going out and getting drunk so much.... nah. ✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨ #17 Ariana Grande - "7 Rings" Quote Honestly the best single from the TUN era, glad it became such a big hit for her. The production is what makes the song for me, and although it kinda got overplayed for me it's still a bopper. ✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨ #16 Lizzo - "Truth Hurts" Quote Breakout hit of the year, even though it's been out since 2017 The amount of times I've screamed "you coulda had a bad bitch" at the top of my lungs is scary. Edited December 11, 2019 by ARTPØP
ARTPØP Posted December 11, 2019 Author Posted December 11, 2019 (edited) #15 Billie Eilish - "Bad Guy" Quote I bet most of us can agree that this song was hands down one of this year's biggest hits. I'm happy Billie scored such a big hit with such an experimental dark pop song. This song is pretty good, although, I got over it rather quickly. Though the video is one of the best of the year! ✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨ #14 Sam Smith - "How Do You Sleep?" Quote Sam came serving EVERYTHING for this song and video! I'm usually not the biggest fan of Sam's music, however, this song is too good to deny. Hands down one of the best songs of the year. Would've made the top 10 if it was released earlier in the year and racked in more points. However, it spent 5 weeks atop my weekly chart. ✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨ #13 Charli XCX ft. Troye Sivan - "1999" Quote One of the best songs of the past year (or so). I know this came out in 2018, but most of it's chart points came from the 2019 calendar year for me. Still knocks and is always played at any pregame I have with my friends. This really had the potential to become a big hit. ✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨ #12 Ellie Goulding & Diplo ft. Swae Lee - "Close To Me" Quote I'll probably get hate for having this song on here and so high but Ellie can do me no wrong. This song spent 16 weeks in my top 10 and peaked earlier this year earning it's high position. I still refuse to turn it off when I hear it on the radio. Sue me xoxo ✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨ #11 Bastille - "Joy" Quote Bastille really served such good songs this past year. Doom Days is such an underrated album and this song is simply one of their best. Who knew such an uplifting jam could have such sad undertones to it? ~~top 10 reveal tomorrow!~~ Edited December 11, 2019 by ARTPØP
TheWayWeWere Posted December 11, 2019 Posted December 11, 2019 MD finally ! nice too see it on some lists, since it's probably my favorite Miley song ever 7 Rings and GHG such a bops still I love Truth Hurts ha old songs >>>
