TheWayWeWere Posted December 7, 2019 Posted December 7, 2019 Gone should've been higher it's one of my favorite productions over the year HAW was...cute at least, album on the other side Lover one of my favorites from album Carry On and 365 major BOPS Graveyard nice song, but not on the level of her previous works, kinda worried about album
Remmy Posted December 7, 2019 Posted December 7, 2019 Damn, if you took Ava out of that banner I'd enjoy EVERY single person there At least this means you're definitely gonna serve taste! #100-81: Harry and Dua are too low But they are recent releases so I *guess* I understand. Flux + DCMA are alright. Youngblood and Harleys Talk, My Blood, ARUTW || #080-61: Lost In Japan, Head Above Water, Graveyard Gone, Lover, Cheap Queen, Sweettalk My Heart, 365, Doin' Time yup!
K$Ellie Posted December 7, 2019 Posted December 7, 2019 Gone was a bop kinda aged for me but still the second best on that album, which says a lot tbh Lost In Japan is like, his one tolerable song Graveyard is somewhat cute but this girl is getting on my last nerve nnn Sweettalk My Heart My Type, For You, Doin' Time, 365, Lover and Head Above Water are really nice

ARTPØP Posted December 9, 2019 Author Posted December 9, 2019 (edited) #60 Lizzo - "Good As Hell" Quote Lizzo quickly became one of my new "It" girls of 2019, however, I have been bopping to this song since 2016. I first discovered GAH and Lizzo in general after hearing this p*ssy poppin' bop in the credits to the Bad Moms movie. I'm so happy this is finally seeing the success it deserves! It's just too fun not to love. ✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨ #59 The Chainsmokers ft. 5SOS - "Who Do You Love" Quote Definitely my favorite Chainsmoker release in a while, especially cuz I love 5SOS. I heard this a lot on the radio, however, it didn't really do much chart-wise. ✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨ #58 Alessia Cara - "Rooting For You" Quote Like most, I was kinda let down by Alessia's sophomore release last year. However, her 'This Summer' EP was surprisingly good. Had some bops on it including this cute one! The production and melody made for a perfect end-of-summer jam. ✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨ #57 Ava Max - "Torn" Quote Whoever's on Ava Max's team should be fired immediately for handling this song so poorly. I love the 80s dance pop/disco vibes that this ABBA-sampled bop serves! Wish it could've been another hit for her. ✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨ #56 Silk City & Dua Lipa - "Electricity" Quote One of my favorite bops from the latter half of 2018. Had enough points in 2019 to find itself on this countdown. And I've been finding myself bopping to it a lot still! ✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨ #55 Normani - "Motivation" Quote Normani really came guns blazing with this BOP! There's no reason why this song shouldn't have been a late summer smasher. ✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨ #54 Lauv & Anne-Marie - "F**k, I'm Lonely" Quote Both Lauv and Anne-Marie know how to serve great pop music, so I knew they wouldn't disappoint with this one. The relatable lyrics also make the song all the more enjoyable to sing along to. ✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨ #53 Ed Sheeran & Justin Bieber - "I Don't Care" Quote Don't get me wrong, when this song first came out it was a bop. It was the perfect start-to-summer song. Then radio completely tainted it for me. Do I hate it? No, but I probably will never listen to it on my own ever again. xo ✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨ #52 Taylor Swift ft. Brendon Urie - "ME!" Quote I consider myself a huge Taylor stan, so having her release this as her anticipated lead single I was definitely underwhelmed. I definitely don't hate this song, I can appreciate it as a cute little kids boppy thing. However, after the first week or so I basically never listened to it again. Lol. "Cruel Summer" should've been the lead tbh. ✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨ #51 MØ - "Blur" Quote I FINALLY got to see MØ live in concert earlier this year, which made me love this song so much more. I like the vocal effects she serves in this bop. Edited December 9, 2019 by ARTPØP

ARTPØP Posted December 9, 2019 Author Posted December 9, 2019 1 minute ago, Illuminati said: Yeah but it's so low! I wanted my rankings to be as accurate as possible. So the rankings are based on a point system that I calculate from my own personal weekly top 40 chart. My chart is singles only, and is usually a good measure of what I listen to each week in terms of pop music. It peaked at #26 on my chart spending 20 weeks on my chart. I've added up the points and #88 is where it landed.
ARTPØP Posted December 9, 2019 Author Posted December 9, 2019 (edited) #50 Marshmello & CHVRCHES - "Here With Me" Quote Whether you like him or not, Marshmello continues to put out pretty good bops. It was cool seeing CHVRCHES getting a bit of mainstream success out of this, as well. Even tho them and Marshmello aren't on good terms anymore apparently. ✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨ #49 Ava Max - "My Way" Quote After I became obsessed with "Sweet But Psycho" I knew I needed to hear more from her. I immediately found this gem afterwards and it was on repeat for weeks. ✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨ #48 Dua Lipa - "Swan Song" Quote A cute lil bop from Ms. Lipa while she was in between eras. I've always had a love/hate with this song; sometimes I really enjoy it and then other times I find it rather annoying. ✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨ #47 Rita Ora - "Let You Love Me" Quote Rita sure knows how to serve the bops. This is another example of that. She looks gorg in the video too. ✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨ #46 Lizzo - "Juice" Quote "Juice" was an instant earworm from the very beginning. I love 80s style/nu-disco type songs and this was just another bop that Ms. Lizzo can add to her repertoire. ✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨ #45 Ariana Grande - "Break Up With Your Girlfriend, I'm Bored" Quote Initially, this was one of my fave bops from the TUN album at the very beginning. However, I found myself growing tired of it very fast. Now I can't even listen to it. ✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨ #44 Dean Lewis - "Be Alright" Quote For me, this was this year's "Say You Won't Let Go" - that one overplayed sad song that you can't refuse to hate. I think there's a lot of raw emotion to this song and when you think about the meaning behind it the story is so messed up. It's kinda pathetic when your "best friend" screws your ex. ✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨ #43 P!nk - "Walk Me Home" Quote As much as I love the album, the H2BH era was very underwhelming. It was such an odd release. However, this song is pretty good. A perfect Hot AC bop that was always fun to jam to on the radio. ✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨ #42 Sigrid - "Sucker Punch" Quote Sigrid quickly became one of my favorite new artists throughout 2019. Her debut album was chocked full of amazing songs, including this one right here. I love the early 2000s vibes the chorus gives me. ✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨ #41 Major Lazer ft. Tove Lo - "Blow That Smoke" Quote It's rather hard for Tove Lo to disappoint me with anything she releases. This was a cute lil bop that held me over during the early part of 2019 until Sunshine Kitty came to slay my existence. Edited December 9, 2019 by ARTPØP
