#2 in the Public Vote, #3 in the Judges vote. #2 overall.

Holy **** :jonny:

I low-key thought this was my best entry but I didn't expect to get 1st place with it :jonny:

Going from Top 9 to Top 5 :jonny:

I think this is the first time since I started playing this game 5 years ago during the first season that I actually won a round and did good with both the judges AND the public. :jonny:

Thank you @Kavish, @Lazuli and @Ronaldistafor the positive scores and feedback. And @Pedro, I'm surprised you ranked me lowest out of the four, but oh well.

And thanks again to @shelven, @Rihlana, @Vulnicuraand @lhdang2000for saving me this round. The fact that I was voted off by a couple of you just two to three rounds ago, but am now getting saved by you guys, shows that I'm doing something right. Not to mention that I actually voted Halsey off this round and I still got saved, lol.

I'm still shocked by this. :jonny:

This made my day though. I've really come a long way from the first season 5 years ago, and it's an honor that I finally achieve something like this with someone that I stan for as loyally as I do with Samantha. And I hope everyone here is enjoying her music because that was one of the main reasons I chose Nine over other albums like Revival and Emotion.

I just hope that I don't screw it up next round :toofunny3:

But thanks again everyone! I feel a lot more confident now about this season. Keep climbing, keep fighting, try everything :alexz:

It's just a game! It would be SO petty if I voted you off just because you didn't like my entry, especially when your entry was as fantastic as it was this round :hug:

oh god I failed this round

I didn't go into detail about the technical stuff because I didn't want people saying "you only talk about how high she can go" and stuff

But it was a very rushed entry so I'm not too shocked by the results

:hug: you're so sweet!

@MusicLoverDude, I hope you understood my feedback though! @theycallmemaraj, you still comfortable! Make sure you recover next round!

I enjoyed all of the entries this round, I think all of you responded well to the theme. Great job :clap3:

Thank you Pedro for letting me guest judge, I loved being part of this again :heart2:

@MusicLoverDude That essay tho. :jonny:

But congratulation on this win, you truly deserve this. Right from the start, I said it already that you'd be a strong contender and you're proving it round by round. Not only that, but you also bring Samantha closer to me, in which I have no objection to at all. :gaycat1:

ATRL's original game "Choose The Album, Then a Song" is back for its anticipated ninth season on its original concept.

It's funny how inspiration popsup unexpectedly. We'll get into that a little bit later... What matter is that we're back and we are now ready for the fifth round of Choose The Album, Then a Song 9! Last night we said goodbye to Lion and we are now down to nine contestants. I believe he deserves one last round of applauses for his commitment, don't you? Get ready and brace yourselves...

...But before getting into the round itself, let's review the rules.

rules.png

1. There's not such thing as bad losers;

We are all here to have fun and share our favorite music with everyone.

2. Every contestant must cast a vote each round;

The main purpose of the game is to introduce everyone to new music. If this rule isn't applied, only the judges will benefit from it.

3. Every entry must contain a written part;

To fully understand your decision, you will be required to send in an essay along with the song chosen.

4. A song can only be used twice and can only be use three rounds after;

This will allow you to explore your album further.

5. Deadlines must be respected by contestants and judges;

There will be three updates throughout the week.

6. There's no space for stan wars or called voters;

The main purpose of this game is to introduce everyone to knew music. Therefore, we don't want any fights or any type of voting manipulation.

7. The vote process is build up of two parts;

Every round the judges votes will be mixed with the public votes.

8. Be fair and do not be biased.

If you want others to respect your work and game, make sure you respect others too by not allowing your personal taste affect your votes.

Music focuses on two main things: dance and love. This round does too. We don't need a bunch of synthesizers and electric guitars to dance just like we don't need a sad piano or violin to love. On top of that, no one wants to listen to an album filled with romantic songs or to an album filled with club bangers.

If last round you were supposed to send in songs that were opposed to each others, this round you're supposed to send in two songs that prove the album's diversity by showing us that your artist knows how to love (in any sort of way - heartbreak, passion...) and how to have fun (in any sort of way - clubbing, sex...).

Please send in a love song and a dance song (keeping in mind that each person has their own opinion on what those are) that proves that your artist and album are diverse and explain those choices in no more than 300 words.

Submit your entry to me (Pedro) and don't forget a streaming link.

DEADLINE

March, 17th

Good Luck!

Can the dance song be about love or is that defeating the object of the round?

Just like the majority of the rounds, you're your own judge. Even if the dance song is about love, do you need to focus on its lyrics? Does the "love" part of the lyrics really refer to SOMEONE or are we talking about other type of love? Can you interpret it differently? Try to go around those perspectives if they help.

Welp. Guess I have to repick one song. :gaycat2:

By the way, since we are in round 5, you can now use the songs used in round 1 and 2.

YES, I was hoping this season would have a dance round, I wanted to use a certain song so badly :duca:

I believe I have the PERFECT songs for this round, now to work on the essay:duca:

A love song - I have two options for those :)

And dance song - I still have two options for those!

I'm glad I don't have to worry about reusing any of my songs yet!

Oh wait, round 1 and round 2? I probably don't need it then. :gaycat2:

But I have to re-listen to songs that I didn't plan to use, probably picked one of them.

I always have such a difficult time with the word limit for the rounds where we have to submit 2 songs. My first draft of my essay for this round was 375 words :skull: I've gotten it down to 318 now, but I think I'm gonna stop and only go over it again tomorrow so that I can approach it with a fresher perspective.

The hardest part for me is actually starting my essay with a good intro. I know which songs I'm going with but I can't grasp a good starting paragraph right now. I think I have writers block :skull:
