The earlier you release the more at a disadvantage you are because you have to compete with thousands of new songs. Case in point, OTR came out much later and is still #1.

Counterpoint, Sicko Mode is over a year old and is top 5.

Um...no. The older the song is, the most days you have to accumulate sales and streams for the yearly chart :rip:

...you do realize these are the streams accumulated from the first week of 2019 until now? Which means 7 Rings has a several weeks' advantage on almost everything else, since it came out in the third week of the year. Old Town Road would have even bigger numbers, had it been released three months earlier.

Must be incorrect. The biggest song of all time barely made the top 40.

Still obsessed as ever I see. Not too bad for a streaming poison artist with a country power ballad, which came out in 2018.

The biggest song of all time was released September 2018 and it was extremely gLObal, you need to look for WW receipts to understand the impacT.

gLObal Legends only.

Seems like it! Old Town Road is at 17M units if we count its digital sales too... it's going 2x Diamond

it's not, well not anytime soon these numbers include user-generated streams and RIAA doesn't track those numbers for certifications. The streams have to be officially from the artists' page.

Welp true :gaycat1:at least she can still pull good numbers for BB200 without any hit. Truly a real album artist others can't relate :jonny5:
