xBoySelenatorx Posted December 28, 2019 Posted December 28, 2019 Xmas Critiques: Spoiler #Beyoncé: This is an interest twist to a Christmas song, I would have never expected this tbh I don’t see myself playing this on Christmas, if I did maybe like when I’d be alone, but at the same time I would not play it outside the Christmas time. Contradicting but I don’t know how else to put it. #ChristinaAguilera: I don’t get huge Christmas vibes from this aside so slight production. This can be seen as a regular pop/ballad song. Nice lyrics and I get it but personally it’s just not Christmas for me. #DemiLovato: Definitively a Christmas classic. Unfortunately for me that’s the only positive critique for this. Powerful voice but in this case, I don’t think it suits the song. This song was made for softer vocals. #JessieJ: This is a good example of a powerful voice being soft to fit the song. The transition into Jingle Bells was so good! I prefer JB than RTRNR, I get more holiday vibes with it, but very good submission. #LadyGaga: This was good. Christmas song but you can still sense her own addition to the song. It’s lovely hearing the original arrangement, sometimes changing it and making it your own can go the wrong way, but not for this. This was great. #LanaDelRey: LOVED this. Her voice was so soft and suiting for the song. I just felt so relaxed with this. #MansZelmerlow: A YouTube streaming HIT! Jokes aside – aside the language, this sounded like your Christmas music in America. The jazz elements only enrich the song and it would be unfair to subtract points due to the language. EXCELLENT. #MariahCarey: Expected? Yes. Still slayed? Yes. Christmas does not exist without this song. #Queen: Another instance where the act makes a little twist to the song. I think it worked 98% of the time. Because of Queen’s musical background, which isn’t as soft as Christmas music, it creates a few moments where the vocals are a little too powerful for the vibes of the song. #TaylorSwift: Can’t believe you made me stream and support scoot. Anyways, I think her voice was a little too weak for the song. Completely opposite of the powerhouses. Maybe bcs of her age or technique but idk, however, it was more digestible than the powerhouses. #TheWeeknd: Music to my ears. #ZaraLarsson: This was surprisingly good! Ver voice had a perfect soft tone. Good job.

The vocals were light and the Harmonies actually helped the vocal portion of this song alot. Plus this song is organic whew. #ChristinaAguilera Okay first the vocals are top notch. PLUS ITS AN R&B XMAS SONG I S.T.A.N! #DemiLovato Okay tbh the vocals were great but it was too extra. This song did not make me feel like I was watching a commercial about homeless dogs but rather a commercial about the Walmart greets ringing the bell asking for spare change. It was cute #JessieJ WAIT go awf Mrs. J! This is a bop and the vocals are there but nothing extreme like the long yodels #KatyPerry PrELIMINATEDRound11 #KeyshiaCole PrELIMINATEDRound11 #LadyGaga I see she add her own twist. This was good. #LanaDelRey Okay so her record songs are normally really boring but her live performance of this song was amazing. whew TBH IBHFC is always better sung at a lower tone I think #MansZelmerlow I get severe vegas vibes from this. So i guess their holiday is rich,sexy and busy #MariahCarey GIRL this song has been out for like 30 years. Its a good song , she have vocals. but we the GP are TIRED, like a car #Queen Okay this send sends me back to the 80's. The vocals are very raspy and smooth. It makes me think Im in a JCPenny shopping for xmas clothes and waiting in a long line just to check out! Neat! #TaylorSwift Okay a bop tbh. Her voice is very pitch and that country snarl/accent is thick and a turnoff a bit.
