It was super stripped down and showed us her beautiful lower register. It didn’t feel like there was a 2nd language because of how well it was put together. My only complain is that the outro was a bit too repetitive. #TaylorSwift - Okay! Well I loved the Portuguese part a lot, it sounded very good. In fact, I think it sound better than the English parts of the song... I personally don’t think the connection between both language was good, sorry /: #MariahCarey - This is the entry I was high key the most excited since that round were the original was submitted made me really like this song (taste!) but I was somewhat disappointed /: Miguel’s part in this version kind of ruined it, it was hard to understand him in some part. I know it’s not his first language, but it was so badly mixed that some of it sounded like it was on top on the English version. On the other side, Mariah was amazing and didn’t sound too foreign on it. The outro phone call was super cute! #KeyshiaCole - Well the requirement was met, but I don’t think the Latin parts added that much to the song /: As usual, the song itself is great. Great delivery, however, the Latin part kind of just felt like it’s there. Sorry /: #JessieJ - sksksk im sorry but lowkey a kii that 98% was English and the last 10 seconds were mandarin. Anyways, those 10 seconds were amazing (now that’s something I can’t say about my ex!) i don’t know if she’s singing it correctly, all I know is that it sounded beautiful and fitting. Could have been a 10 but the only 10 this got were those seconds in another language. #Queen - Let me start by saying that the flow for the first 30 or so seconds kind of felt off for me, idk why. Other than that, great job. The Japanese parts were amazing and sounded amazing. Based off what I read, it was a cute thank you to their supporters and they appreciated that. #LadyGaga - G-Pop superstar Loody GooGaa has risen! It’s a fun dance track that’s for sure. It’s obvious it’s not her first language but that’s kind of the point of the song since she’s asking him/her if they want her to sing in German. Cute bop but lacked something fresh and meaningful I think. #MansZelmerlow - I think the same situation with Taylor Swift. I loved the French part & it flow of it was good! The English part was... well a bit generic. I’m not sure if it’s the way he delivers his lyrics or the production (I know Europe is into that type of music) but it feels a bit uninspired. The connection between the two was stronger than the mentioned example, I’ll give you that! #DemiLovato - okay! Finally something excellent (theme wise) from ms. Demi! Check marks for everything. The 2 language mix is the point of the song considering the artists involved. It’s catchy and fun. Even though Demi sounded a bit whitish, it still worked! #ChristinaAguilera - Correct me if I’m wrong but this is literally one of the most iconic songs featuring another language. Excellence! #ArianaGrande - Omg I forgot this existed lmao. I’m really impressed with her “R” pronunciation! Most of the track sounded amazing, except for one or two words where it felt like she had to finish the line before the next one came in so it was rushed. #TheWeeknd - Your typical Weeknd song with a sprinkle of French! Although slightly repetitive (French parts) the overall product was great. The way it was put together, you can hardly tell it’s two languages. #HayleyWilliams - The song itself is good (& the Spanish cover is cute) but ouch. Points for the good song though.
