Yeah once otr was over it was really over.

i don’t even think it’ll come close to 52 on the hot 100 but it hopefully serves a purpose:

transition to the fusion sound of the 2020s. I need more blends and fusion because most of the genres on its own has lost its essence anyways

He had a huge streak before that aswell (Rockstar - Psycho - Better Now) not sure how long exactly but i think sth like 40-45 weeks (if someone knows the exact number correct me pls) and got interrupted for 2-3 weeks until the new 37 week streak came along..  better now was #11 for 3-4 weeks.. really unlucky
EDIT: nvm just looked it up.. he got interrupted by the Drake album bomb.. so basically sth like 30 weeks - 1 week out cause of Drake - then another 15-20 weeks - 2-3 weeks out - another 37 week streak - 1 week out -  so basically 95% of the time in the last 2 years he had a top 10 hit [note: not the exact numbers but im too lazy to look it up]

Yeah, Lil Nas has popularized genre fusing and it’s gonna be the next big thing. I’m also hoping Kpop & dream pop continue growing. It would also be cool if electroswing took off (1920s/2020s)

I'll say OTR gets to around 35 Hot 100 chart weeks. Maybe OTR gets a Thanksgiving & EOY bounce with gets it to 39 wks/9 mos. Monday marks H 100 wk 27. So hell probably get 23-24 T 10 wks, 3-4 more b/t 11-20 (he was #15 on the way up), and then 4-5 more 21-40 (he was at 33 I think on the way up.  Hed probably get 1-2 more wks 41-50. So, that gives 35-39 wks. He won't even get close to SRC, 50/20 will do him in.

I agree but then again didn’t one sweet day have little longevity after it fell from #1 in comparison to her other songs that era so I guess it isn’t too surprising.

The personal opinion wasn't my point though. It's a smash on HAC, making huge gains on pop, and doing remarkably well on streaming for a song of its genre. It should go top 10 regardless of whether you like it or not.
