onething Posted September 5, 2019 Posted September 5, 2019 I really hope your predictions about Lewis Capaldi's placement next week are right because I want that song to enter the top 10 so badly. I have to congratulate Shaed on their almost-top-40 hit as Trampoline is at number 41 this week which is a huge achievement for an Indie Pop song these days.

Born This Way sold 21 k physical single its last wk @ #1, HUGE in 2011 & when BB still published a Hot Singles Sales Chart. Gary brought that up. Maybe BB will bring that back for 2020 CY. If it makes a difference now BB should post it. Honestly, given BB's extra weighting for physical singles sales, ME would've probably hit #1 w/ 70 k.
Roberto Posted September 6, 2019 Posted September 6, 2019 Are there any chances of some Lana songs debuting in the hot 100 the next week? I think Doin' Time and the title track are the ones with the major chances but I don't know, maybe I'm just dreaming.
Bethenny Frankel Posted September 6, 2019 Posted September 6, 2019 I think Lover will rebound once it gets the full radio push

This happens with every album bomb dude. Ariana and Billie also had this with tu,n and When We All Fall Asleep

In Ariana's case, 7 rings remained intact at #1, TUN dropped 1 position and BUWYGIM dropped 6, they all remained in the top 10. With Billie I don't know if we could compare cause I'm not sure if her pre-Bad guy singles were even sent to radio, but neither Bad guy nor Bury a friend dropped more than 5 positions. Taylor's singles would be falling 7, 14 and 47 spots.

Ariana's singles were #1 (=) and #6 (+3) (BUWYGIM debuted) before the album drop. It's simple - similar increase, similar drop.

Next week will be its 20th week, and probably its last week because of the Post Malone album bomb.
