As much as I love this album
As much I love her
As much as I want the artist on here to benefit

This is karma :jonny:

For:
-Not releasing Schoolin Life & End of Time from 4

-Not releasing Haunted and Mine from ST (Her Ray of light, contemporary rebranding moment alongside DIL and Partition)

-Releasing a terrible platinum edition to an already amazing album and ignoring fan favourites like Grown Woman & Standing on the Sun for trash like Blow ft Pharrel. Also rejecting gems like this which could of made the platinum.

-Messing up all of Lemonade's singles by not putting them on Spotify and Vevo. (why would radio support singles that cant be streamed)
-Trying to force Sorry as the lead when Hold Up was clearly where it was at

-Making Formation unlisted on Vevo
-Not releasing Freedom or 6 inch as singles.

-Not releasing Lemonade to Spotify for 3 years even though the albums sales were dead by its 3rd month

-Paying Europe dust during the whole promotion of this album
-Releasing EIL in the middle of a tour instead of before the tour.
-Attempting to have a huge "out now" moment in London but the album launching exclusively on tidal which no one has here :rip:
-Killing Apeshits chances of smashing by keeping it off spotify for days (meaning it got penalised with playlists etc)
-EIL just being underwhelming and unambitious.
-Having 2 years to prepare for the Lion King and sabotaging it by releasing the mediocre Spirit.
-Aweful communication and secrecy about the album and releasing it 1 week after the official Lionking soundtrack just to add to confusion and ensure people don't understand this is an album filled with new music.

-Waiting to the last minute to record the visual for the Lion King song so she had an excuse not to support her co-stars on the press circuit :oh:

-Putting Shinning part II (M4E, which I love) as the lead material to promote A Lion King inspired soundtrack instead of something universally digestible like BIGGER or Find Your Way

Anyway the album is great, I wish it the best of luck

That’s not the point I was making.

Just because TLK is based in Africa, doesn’t mean it makes sense to make a TLK-themed afrobeats album :psyduck: if anything it feels like Bey wanted to experiment with afrobeats and TLK was the perfect excuse/reason to do so without risking it all and doing it for a “real” Beyonce album. This is about what she wanted, not TLK.

But the soundtrack wasn’t about her or the music she wanted to make... :rip: this is my entire point. All this extra Beyonce stuff (besides Spirit) makes no sense. All of the hype was ultimately centered around TLK, and people didn’t want the soundtrack either way. They wanted a dose of nostalgia and nothing more.

This is a fair point, I dont think its the reason for the bad sales though when even her old stuff performed better a few months back when Lemonade was released on Spotify.

My point is: the album is doing poorly because the

motive behind it is very obviously fake, and no one asked for it.

Afrobeats itself is not the problem. The very existence of this album is the problem.

So if it hits #1 , it will not be Beyonce's #1. Good to know Hive.

This is kinda confusing, it is not soundtrack, live album or EP.

It is solo album recorded in studio consisting new songs. Technically it should break the streak, i guess.

In what world is this a solo album :deadbanana4:

Of course a member of a certain fanbase had to post this.

Oh well, Beyonce doesn't seem to care. She's MuTe on social media. Taking Ls gracefully.

Y49BlM5.gif

lol this is true. She's never been one to bitch about critics "not getting" a passion project, be condescending towards the public/fans because the album "must've been too ahead of its time" or threatened to sue Billboard just because she missed the #1 spot :toofunny2: she just had never really made excuses for a flop single or flop album, no matter how legit said excuse might be. I'm sure she's sensitive, like all artists are, and does want to maintain some semblance of success, like all working artists do, but I think she's more level headed than people realize. She's said herself....

tumblr_myo1jcm90a1sfbes9o1_.gif

plus I think she realized a very long time ago that there's no point in letting people see you sweat over things that are ultimately trivial like chart positions and sales, even if you are really hurt about how things turned out for a project you believed in.

This is...surprising to say the least.  I really don't think Beyonce is using TLK to her best benefit long term :rip:

No, it will end with this album. Gaga's album had her name on it. The Carters didn't, so it's not a Beyoncé album. But this one is

That's fine.

No other female artist is currently close to having their first six albums debut at #1 anyway.

I guess the next would be Adele in like 20 years.
