Some cute albums here. Ssion is probably my favorite.

Negro Swan was alright and EiL is solid. Way too overhated.

Everything Is Love :michael: It wasn't terrible or anything, though. Your top 3 is pretty nice actually, especially BOSS.

Initially this was pretty okay to me and went over my head but it's grown on me some more recently. Some really brilliant pop songs on this. They remind me a bit of Tegan and Sara but less one note . They put out a deluxe version recently that was really not needed but hey get those 10 extra streams.

Serves: Figure It Out, EmotionVärmland

A bit difficult to get into or really even understand what she's singing about most times ff. I remember watching the album movie for this and having zero idea what I was watching. It all went over my head but still a great album! Just looking at the individual songs. Great energy through out... and she mixes things up constantly. Never feels like a dull listen. Samaritan was the real standout for me... not as convoluted and such a brilliant pop track.

Serves: Watches Watches, Simmer Down, Samaritan

A great followup to Ephorize.. I really don't how she's able to put out TWO albums in one year but she did that. "Eden" has Cupcakke criticizing our culture, making sex bops (as expected but still welcome) and tracks on issues like bullying. Cupcakke's verses are tighter than ever and the production on this is really great. My only problem was with a lot of the hooks. Typically repeated or just felt already done from her previous records

Serves: Quiz, A.U.T.I.S.M., Cereal and Water

I found the cover so gorgeous I had to check out the music. Lead singer from a disco band "Escort"... honestly who? I ended up really enjoying this. Felt pretty modern for a disco album and it flow so nicely so I end up listening to the entire thing. Great vocals and production... I'd say Solange if she went a more disco route but honestly still Solange sweetie

Serves: Emeralds, Illusions, No Name

I thought this was a country album for the longest time :dies: (but I'm seeing no country tags anywhere so...)  I kept returning to this all year cus the melodies are really gorgeous on it and whew her voice. So emotive. Also the cover is hideous and doesn't match the album at all. Boyfriend is such a highlight.. kinda reminds me of Lana  a little bit especially the verses.

Serves: CastlesBoyfriend, Feels Good

The Carters’ album is actually very creative despite all the braggadocio and it is excellent. It’s just a little tainted.

I didn’t know Wet released. I used to follow her, don’t know how I missed it. Will have to check it out.

:clap3:... yes checkout Wet

True, if Cupcakke writes more effective hooks (or just hires a songwriter or something) she'll deliver rap AOTY i know it.

I actually skipped out on Eden :keir: Her viral hits + Queen Elizabitch were fun but Ephorize made me lose interest, even though that had a few cute songs.

She really thought she did something with those poems spelling out her name like a 5 years old :dies:

This Adeline girl has made me want to listen to Adeline by Alt-J. I will give her some streams as a thank you, and if she sounds like Disco Solange, then I’m here for it.

In hindsight, this would be an EP and I'd squeeze in one more album in album list aslkasjlk but Allie X did that on Super Sunset still. A bit too short for my liking especially with the characters she introduced with this but still a great project from Allie X. Generally no weak track and some of her best writing on Not So Bad in La and Little Things.

Serves: Little Things, Not So Bad in La, Science

Beautiful vocals and production on CLOVES' debut. It's not all new tracks and some of the production starts feeling stale after a while but her voice is so emotional and the lyrics are gorgeous. A very powerful voice on someone so young. Excited to hear more from her whew. I was obsessed with Bringing The House Down for a minute so I'm glad the album met my expectations.

Serves:Bringing The House Down, Wasted Time, Better Now

She kinda did that on this. A great pop album with throwback vibes. But the lyrics are so relevant to today's political climate. Short Court Style was the first song I heard from her and the rest of the album didn't disappoint.

Serves: Short Court Style, Sisters, Ain't Nobody

Troy really did that huh? The production, writing and vocals are all great. I like that this is 10 tracks too. Allows every track to shine though postcard could have been deleted. My only complaint is the tracklisting. It feels random especially in the 1st half. Seventeen to My My My is so random.. bitch I just got done crying.. can't just bop mindlessly right after :dies:

Serves: Seventeen, Plum, Dance To This

Another short album on this list though Tove Styrke had the nerve to sneek in Vibe after a minute. Not as thought out as Kiddo but Sway is a great collection of pop songs. Very consistent bops and there's something muted or minimal about this that fits the short length and makes the songs a lot more enjoyable.

Serves: Sway, I Lied, On A Level
