Love Drought Posted December 16, 2018 Posted December 16, 2018 Roll, This Time Around, Sticky, Hand It Over, Boys... too much talent I finally listened to that Two Houses EP and all I can say is:
volition Posted December 16, 2018 Posted December 16, 2018 really good set w/ baby i'm bleeding, cherubim, hand it over, sure, and sticky which i put on my list last year still haven't heard boys
Wicked Posted December 16, 2018 Posted December 16, 2018 Catching up and whew, EP list is strong.First time seeing swf mentioned, classic single tbh. Peggy!! Freedia!!
Eeveelution Posted December 16, 2018 Posted December 16, 2018 Lots of great songs already. This Time Around is a smash, I wasn't expecting Jessica to snap that hard.
Tom Vercetti Posted December 16, 2018 Posted December 16, 2018 Why does Benja look like Dev Hynes in the graphix. #50 through #48 hits the spot. Sticky + Sure ?
Dom Posted December 16, 2018 Posted December 16, 2018 yass at hatchie, slaying in every list i see. maybe will appear in mine we shall seee.

Way too many to list but Your Teeth In My Neck and Rage of Plastics would have to be my favorites there And you kicked off the list so well with Roll (I do think Hive Mind can be samey (or not as interesting all throughout) but I think that's what I like about it most). I'l have to disagree about Ego Death also being samey though. JPEGMAFIA was one of those albums that never quite held up for me throughout the year so I don't really remember that particular song lol soil had like two songs that didn't absolutely annoy the **** out of me and cherubim wasn't one of them Absolutely agree with your writeup for Sticky. Nothing more to say I'm quite surprised soil isn't universally loved but even more surprised that serpentwithfeet has haters Not you, just in general. It seems so random to me But anyway, hope bless ur heart is one of those two songs 12 hours ago, TheWayWeWere said: Jakuzi Rollercoaster is low-key my favorite out of Roisin releases this year Boys It was, but don't tell madonnas 11 hours ago, theblackestday said: I meant the first three EPs in your list but I've also only heard her last two projects so let's celebrate that Anyway, kinda shook that some of these HMs didn't make your list, but the amount of TALENT in that playlist is just... Baby I'm Bleeding, Hand It Over, Boys (a #1 smasha btw), SureHatchie They did what they had to do Oop Glad you already staerted catching up though Yeah, I really wanted to throw some of the songs from my HM list to the main list but I was having a hard time figuring out what would I have to sacrify. 11 hours ago, TRF. said: Love seeing Ravyn, JPEG, Hatchie and Serpentwithfeet on the top 50! World Eater Posted December 16, 2018 Author Posted December 16, 2018 Spoiler The highlight from 'Time 'n' Place' may be barely two minutes long, but in such short span of time KKB deliver a complete earworm that blends together the goods of 00s indietronica with fuzzy twee pop and simplicity of children's music. Spoiler Quote "the instrumental sounds like shopping channel music but not in a bad way" ~ Rate Your Music user aggravated_yeti Spoiler Music to cry to in bed on a hot summer night Spoiler I'm still mad at how mistreated was the 'Caution' era. "The Distance" deserved to be the lead single, facts are facts. It's basically an updated version of her biggest hits - smooth contemporary jam with a big chorus that features a trendy (and clearly talented) rapper - but at the same time it has its own spirit in it. Spoiler The 1975 wear their influeces on their sleeves this era and I'm honestly all about it. "It's Not Living (If It's Not with You)" for instance is EXACTLY what you'd think a cliché 80s FM hit you'd want to sing along to on a car trip would sound like. I'm sold Spoiler This has the quality of a classic, doesn't it? And the lyrics are so playful and yet so witty, ahh queen did that! Spoiler This works so damn well as a track introducing the audience to the new era. If only did it represent the album well But honestly who would care about it when you have a track so ethereal and soothing that makes you feel like as if someone was pouring honey right into your mouth? Spoiler And speaking of honey... Robyn is so smart for milking this era off of what used to be a myth of a song. Lbr, gays would have eaten this song up even if it was sh*t, BUT this is not the case. While gays did go wild after hearing this in its final form for the first time, "Honey" is a gorgeous club-ready bop. Spoiler Miss And the Queens brought her A-game with this effortless anthem, huh? Spoiler What a comeback track it was Like, it'd be already satisfying if they released a 3:30 version of this, but they didn't. 2/3 through the song we have this unexpected switch () where the things go really NUTS.
ATRL Moderator Unoriginal Posted December 16, 2018 ATRL Moderator Posted December 16, 2018 the TALENT from 38-32 i am BALD you really snapped, though there are a few songs that absolutely deserve to be higher

ATRL Moderator Tsareena Posted December 16, 2018 ATRL Moderator Posted December 16, 2018 let me relisten to time today.. y'all keep talking about it the distance, 1975, slow burn geyser... honey.. doesn't matter taste overload
ATRL Moderator madonnas Posted December 16, 2018 ATRL Moderator Posted December 16, 2018 Thinking Jacuzzi Rollercoaster is the best Roisin song of 2018 That's literally the weakest one. The Distance is great, so is Slow Burn. Geyser deserved a way way way higher spot as its Mitski's best song and Honey/Doesn't Matter are cute girls but nothing compared to some other songs on their respective albums.

Love Drought Posted December 17, 2018 Posted December 17, 2018 Time Today, 50 Euro, Honey, The Distance, It's Not Living some great picks here. The Distance over Giving Me God is a choice though
Pink Matter Posted December 17, 2018 Posted December 17, 2018 The 3HKO of Doesn't Matter, Honey, and Geyser I've seen KKB thrown around constantly on YELs this year and last year so I'll give them a shot soon.
ATRL Moderator kelly-clarkson Posted December 17, 2018 ATRL Moderator Posted December 17, 2018 The Distance
Vxspertine Posted December 17, 2018 Posted December 17, 2018 Lotus ugh such a BOP Geyser, for once on that album she did that
TRF. Posted December 17, 2018 Posted December 17, 2018 Honey and Doesn't Matter... MAYBE they should be slightly higher but let me stop complaining The Distance and Slow Burn... I wasn't expecting these songs to be as good as they were but I guess that's my mistake for not trusting talent.
Wicked Posted December 17, 2018 Posted December 17, 2018 The Distance is so... bleh to me. Iceage delivered with that track but as a whole I was kinda underwhelmed with their album. I expected heavier Nick Cave influence.
Tom Vercetti Posted December 17, 2018 Posted December 17, 2018 I like 50 euro but there's another track from him that really hits the spot for me~ Lotus is pretty Grimes'd but in a good way.
theblackestday Posted December 17, 2018 Posted December 17, 2018 Time Today is SO good Lotus is SO good 50 Euro is SO good Slow Burn I'm awfully disgusted and offended at Geyser being not only this low but also below Robyn and Christine Thought you snubbed Iceage because I thought the title track was your fave and it was an HM, so glad Catch It got what it deserves
