Body Electrician Posted December 17, 2018 Posted December 17, 2018 amazing picks but they all deserve higher especially Godser lemme check out the ones I haven't heard
Bubble Tea Posted December 17, 2018 Posted December 17, 2018 Ugh "Honey" is so beautiful - I stan it so much. By the way - your graphics are a SLAY! Mine are so lazy but I have zero skill so I have to get creative with my 'abilities'. I actually posted it on my best of too if you wanna check it out.
TheWayWeWere Posted December 17, 2018 Posted December 17, 2018 great set yeah, Caution could've had decent success with right choices :jonny: The Distance is smash that got away Slow Burn is probably best Kacey song Geyser is a grower :jonny: wasn't really impressed at first, but it grows on me so much with album release Doesn't Matter my favorite song from Chris Honey is kinda low
World Eater Posted December 18, 2018 Author Posted December 18, 2018 I'll post the comments on your threads tomorrow, I'm about to go to sleep Spoiler 23 hours ago, Unoriginal said: the TALENT from 38-32 i am BALD you really snapped, though there are a few songs that absolutely deserve to be higher 23 hours ago, Wicked said: Dear. >R&B (especially not some watered down mess) >ATRL Pick one. 16 hours ago, Wicked said: The Distance is so... bleh to me. Iceage delivered with that track but as a whole I was kinda underwhelmed with their album. I expected heavier Nick Cave influence. Fair point re:R&B Even though Beyondless grew on me, it was underwhelming in some ways. I remember listening to that early brickwalled leak and thinking wtf were they thinking 23 hours ago, Tsareena said: let me relisten to time today.. y'all keep talking about it the distance, 1975, slow burn geyser... honey.. doesn't matter taste overload 23 hours ago, madonnas said: Thinking Jacuzzi Rollercoaster is the best Roisin song of 2018 That's literally the weakest one. The Distance is great, so is Slow Burn. Geyser deserved a way way way higher spot as its Mitski's best song and Honey/Doesn't Matter are cute girls but nothing compared to some other songs on their respective albums. I'l just say that Mitski almost served a similar 1-2 punch with her singles this year as she did two years ago 23 hours ago, wabayou said: YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAS (should be higher x) 23 hours ago, Coklek92 said: The 1975 Expecting more of them on the list Well... 21 hours ago, Love Drought said: Time Today, 50 Euro, Honey, The Distance, It's Not Living some great picks here. The Distance over Giving Me God is a choice though Ugh, your taste is just (feat. Slick Rick & Blood Orange) is my second favorite from Caution, I'll give you that 21 hours ago, Pink Matter said: The 3HKO of Doesn't Matter, Honey, and Geyser I've seen KKB thrown around constantly on YELs this year and last year so I'll give them a shot soon. Bonito Generation and Time 'n' Place are quite the opposites of each toher but I'd say it's worth giving them both a shot! 21 hours ago, kelly-clarkson said: The Distance 17 hours ago, Jet said: The Distance Mariah didn't play huh 19 hours ago, Vxspertine said: Lotus ugh such a BOP Geyser, for once on that album she did that I feel like that GGD album got overlooked by everyone, which is a shame 19 hours ago, TRF. said: Honey and Doesn't Matter... MAYBE they should be slightly higher but let me stop complaining The Distance and Slow Burn... I wasn't expecting these songs to be as good as they were but I guess that's my mistake for not trusting talent. Me neither, considering I wasn't a fan of either until this year 16 hours ago, Tom Vercetti said: I like 50 euro but there's another track from him that really hits the spot for me~ Lotus is pretty Grimes'd but in a good way. I gotta admit I had a hard time with picking something from Compro because I really like a couple of tracks Oh yeah, I thought of the same thing about Lotus 15 hours ago, theblackestday said: Time Today is SO good Lotus is SO good 50 Euro is SO good Slow Burn I'm awfully disgusted and offended at Geyser being not only this low but also below Robyn and Christine Thought you snubbed Iceage because I thought the title track was your fave and it was an HM, so glad Catch It got what it deserves Catch It and Beyondless are pretty much on the same level, despite what I may have said earlier 10 hours ago, Body Electrician said: amazing picks but they all deserve higher especially Godser lemme check out the ones I haven't heard That universal Geyser stanning is definitely not what I'd expect. I mean I knew it was well-liked, but I'm lowkey shook I'll put on a playlist once I'm done with the list 8 hours ago, prézli said: Honey is so low. Glad. World Eater Posted December 18, 2018 Author Posted December 18, 2018 Spoiler Lykke Li as the most important voice in trap music in 2018, who saw that coming? Spoiler I don't know how do they do this. The lyrics are a one big edgy nonsense, but they still somehow pull it off, like, I am completely aware of why this song should suck and yet I wanna mindlessly shout out loud every single word of it. Am I brainwashed? Spoiler What can I say? A BOP Spoiler This checks all the boxes for both perfect pop song and perfect lead single. Massive chorus? ✅ Bright lyrics? ✅ Interesting production? ✅ Great vocals? ✅ If it wasn't clear that Ariana is an A-lister before, then it definitely is now. Spoiler "Wind Up Space" could have easily gone wrong. I can see this turning into a complete cheeseball of a song after some minor changes, especially when the performance is this impressive. Instead, though, Benja treated this ballad carefully and gracefully with a refreshing, but very fitting production.
ATRL Moderator kelly-clarkson Posted December 18, 2018 ATRL Moderator Posted December 18, 2018 NTLTC it's amazing!! The music video of the song is my favorite one of Ariana!
