Eeveelution Posted December 19, 2018 Posted December 19, 2018 Licking an Orchid and I Shall Love those were classics they were
TheWayWeWere Posted December 19, 2018 Posted December 19, 2018 just heard At Least the Sky is Blue couple days ago, love it
ATRL Moderator madonnas Posted December 19, 2018 ATRL Moderator Posted December 19, 2018 Licking an Orchid and ISL2 are so good. I think there are a few more accessible moments on aviary tho! The SSION album was a huge disappointment and the best song on it was released last year

World Eater Posted December 20, 2018 Author Posted December 20, 2018 Spoiler Oh my god, this is just so tight It sounds like a song that would unexpectedly fast blow up in a local community after being featured on some underground bootleg hip hop compilation. This is very specific, but just listen to it and you'd get my point. Spoiler On the #relatable distorted piano loop-driven bop "Gladly", Tirzah gets straight to the point. She lets you know what she wants or what makes her feel things. Simple as that! Spoiler "Rainbow" may be 'Golden Hour's' emotional peak, but its real centerpiece is the title track, a stunning love letter to Kacey's husband. I feel like both the song and the album build up just so all the emotions could be released on that hauntingly beautiful instrumental break Spoiler I don't know what else to say besides that this is classic Spiritualized, perdioddddtT. Spoiler As she's proved with her debut LP 'Lush,' miss Mail lacks talent and originality. The album's second single, however, while clearly inspired by the past two decades of indie rock's finest moments, finds miss Mail get her own moment of glory. "Heat Wave" is a smartly constructed song about feeling helpless in love. Paradoxically, though, it does sound hopeful.
ATRL Moderator Tsareena Posted December 20, 2018 ATRL Moderator Posted December 20, 2018 Gladly... so gorgeous.. Tirzah did that golden hour heat wave is still disgusting.. pristine is her best song
ATRL Moderator Unoriginal Posted December 20, 2018 ATRL Moderator Posted December 20, 2018 Heat Wave :grimes: not bad for someone with no talent Golden Hour getting the love it deserves too it's SO underrated

Love Drought Posted December 20, 2018 Posted December 20, 2018 Gladly and Spiritualized I'm also glad you picked the title track from Golden Hour, it always stood out to me for some reason I agree that Snail Mail kinda lacks originality, but I still enjoyed Lush for what it was
Sbbmsve Posted December 20, 2018 Posted December 20, 2018 Gladly is gonna drive some gays crazy Quote As she's proved with her debut LP 'Lush,' miss Mail lacks talent and originality. I fail to see any lies
ATRL Moderator madonnas Posted December 20, 2018 ATRL Moderator Posted December 20, 2018 Rainbow and the title track are good songs but they are not highlights and Wonder Woman/Velvet Elvis are better than them. Heat Wave is a very pretty song. I usually don't like that kinda indie rock but the songwriting is just so good. I think Le Jeux to You or whatever its called is pretty accessible. It sounds like Siouxsie and the Banshees.
Jet Posted December 20, 2018 Posted December 20, 2018 Not a fan of country AT ALL but Golden Hour was a sweet, cathartic album. The title track is v cute. Great choice
TheWayWeWere Posted December 20, 2018 Posted December 20, 2018 Golden Hour is among my faves from that album Heat Wave
