Pink Matter Posted December 13, 2018 Posted December 13, 2018 FM! was cute for two spins. Some good background music. MDM was solid too! Perched for the top 5.
Love Drought Posted December 13, 2018 Posted December 13, 2018 Yuno, Moses & Abel You're right, FM! does feel more like an EP
ATRL Moderator madonnas Posted December 13, 2018 ATRL Moderator Posted December 13, 2018 I only liked Spells from the Jenny EP but it's A VERY VERY GOOD SONG WaIIT, FM is an EP?
TheWayWeWere Posted December 13, 2018 Posted December 13, 2018 MDM appearing it's nice, but ages badly for me tbh
Wicked Posted December 13, 2018 Posted December 13, 2018 Yeah I view FM! as an EP too, it's an easy listen but I liked Prima Donna better. Moses slaying everybody Moodie is the only one I haven't heard so I'll check that out. Nice set.
ATRL Moderator Unoriginal Posted December 13, 2018 ATRL Moderator Posted December 13, 2018 FM! is a good EP but a less than stellar album, especially coming after BFT
Mark Rih Posted December 13, 2018 Posted December 13, 2018 Ahh yes Abel you better praise Try Me which is a masterpiece
World Eater Posted December 13, 2018 Posted December 13, 2018 And to be fair, I don't consider FM! an album either, rather a mixtape, if anything.
Remmy Posted December 13, 2018 Posted December 13, 2018 My Dear Melancholy, is fine but I didn't love it. Whoops, Try Me is actually my least favorite
Eeveelution Posted December 13, 2018 Posted December 13, 2018 I haven’t listened to Yuno but those genres look very interesting and cool, let me listen.

Dreamcrusher - Grudge2 Power Noise, Power Electronics Quote You know, you walk out the door. You see someone that you know, and they ask you how you are, and you just have to say that you're fine, when you're not really fine, but you just can't get into it because they would never understand. Top: Youth Problem, Pristine Convenience, PSA Bottom: Naked 03. Iglooghost - Steel Mogu Wonky Quote The superior EP won Top: Mei Mode, Black Light Ultra Bottom: N/A 02. Iglooghost - Clear Tamei Wonky Quote when Neo Wax Bloom came out last year, I expressed how I think EPs work better for his music, and this proved me right; I'd argue that Clear Tamei is his best work so far. I was afraid he would end up being a one trick pony, and even if he doesn't reinvent his sound with this EP, he does add new things and never makes you feel as it's "been done before". also this gif pretty much sums up both EPs so... Top: New Vectors, Shrine Hacker Bottom: N/A 01. Hatchie - Sugar & Spice Dream Pop Quote new main dream pop girl arrived. I've stanned this lady the moment her singles dropped and she's going to be the iT girl of 2019/2020, I've planted the seed and I will see the harvest. as others have said, she combines the shoegazy and dreamy production of bands like slowdive, mbv and cocteau twins with melodies one might find on carly rae jepsen's or kylie minogue's best material, and it's no coincidence she cites all five as influences. hatchie has an ear for fantastic pop hooks and accompanies them with gorgeous jangly guitars, lush synths and just the right amount of layering and reverb. she doesn't try to necessarily bring anything new to the table, she just makes the music she wants to make and she does it perfectly. Wicked Posted December 14, 2018 Posted December 14, 2018 Did Hatchie buy some Best Of payola or smth? How much she paying? It's the only one ik of this set tho, I'll have to listen to those.
Love Drought Posted December 14, 2018 Posted December 14, 2018 Hatchie is the only one I've heard of from this set
Vxspertine Posted December 14, 2018 Posted December 14, 2018 That Smerz EP is great, Worth It SANPPED Still need to listen to the dreamcrusher EP I'll do it today IGLOOGHOST I disagee about him doing better with EPs I think he just snaps regardless because he is just THAT good 59 minutes ago, Wicked said: Did Hatchie buy some Best Of payola or smth? TheWayWeWere Posted December 14, 2018 Posted December 14, 2018 Hatchie becoming new main pop girl of ATRL
volition Posted December 14, 2018 Posted December 14, 2018 hatchie #1? pretends to be shocked iglooghost & indieheauxs (no points for using a lazy gif to get out of a write-up though oop)
Ewan Chaos Posted December 14, 2018 Posted December 14, 2018 Been seeing iglooghost a lot, need to check that out. I had to scream at that write up on #3 though into #2 I wasn't scrolle down enough and and didn't expect there to be another EP Need to check out Hatchie too
