ATRL Moderator madonnas Posted December 23, 2018 ATRL Moderator Posted December 23, 2018 Leon Vynehall still exists? Sway and Bloom were albums the snobby poptimist indie gays liked a lot but I couldn't see much in them. Not that they were terrible though, they had moments of greatness but as a whole eh. Why isn't Say My Name a standout for Sway?
Vilppu Posted December 23, 2018 Posted December 23, 2018 if i didn't know troye's album, i'd probably think it's about 3 times better than it really is based on the description. great way with words styrke fell hard with this album for me and i didn't even care that much for her debut to begin with
Tom Vercetti Posted December 23, 2018 Posted December 23, 2018 I wasn't into Leon's take on Ambient House in an album format and I liked Midnight on Rainbow Road. Blush > anything from his new album. The bloom highlights looks accurate. At low this year:
ATRL Moderator Tsareena Posted December 23, 2018 ATRL Moderator Posted December 23, 2018 the 1975 did that huh? whew Caution.. an album Natalie Prass still think one more is like Yaeji's best song ff whew boys a bop omg Kelsey Lu... I just got into her yas thank u next ooh sway.. Tove did that, Bloom Chelsea Jade being so low omg
Maddox Posted December 23, 2018 Posted December 23, 2018 I'm still on a high from Kelsey Lu's EP, so i was a little indifferent to her new music (which i still find it ok for the most part) KKB and Thank You, Next
Pink Matter Posted December 24, 2018 Posted December 24, 2018 Low was cute. I also have a snaking feeling Bloom wasn't all that the way people are describing it but I'll certainly give him a chance.
TheWayWeWere Posted December 24, 2018 Posted December 24, 2018 Caution is indeed a big surprise very impressed by this album Sway is full of pop perfection
ATRL Moderator madonnas Posted December 25, 2018 ATRL Moderator Posted December 25, 2018 I only like chelsea on the new update. Bloom is cute too tho it's just all the best songs were pre-release. I never heard of Low before this year, was there drama?
Uncatena Posted December 27, 2018 Author Posted December 27, 2018 Best Songs The best song her EP, it just hits all the right notes and cuts right to the heart. The chorus is so insanely catchy too. Mike absolutely transformed this song (originally by Bobby Darin) and the lyrics have a heartbreaking tone in the context of his delivery. The queer bop about love we all needed and deserve. The chorus get's me every damn time. The queer bop about love we all needed and deserve. The chorus get's me every damn time. [2] The lyrics about giving someone you love time to care about themselves first and foremost are so beautiful. Nu-metal pop is back, thanks Grimes. A gorgeous, dreamy pop song with leftfield production and insane vocal delivery. Only Florence could write a song like THIS after being ghosted/ left on read. The drama it has, the overreaction this has, the power this has.
Uncatena Posted December 27, 2018 Author Posted December 27, 2018 hope y'all had a nice xmas lets get this over with On 12/23/2018 at 5:13 PM, Unoriginal said: I see four snaps and Leon Vynehall jk idk him one of these deserves to be higher The highlights for Sway are spot on and I'd only change MMM for TGS in Bloom's picks Low probably would have been higher if i had spent more time with it The Good Side follows closely to that top 3 On 12/23/2018 at 5:36 PM, Sbbmsve said: Wow, loving your write-ups, very accurate and detailed Surprised at Chelsea being there, I thought it would be in your top 10, but we stan her & Tove. Quick lil' pop albums snapped. Bloom is like the gay version of Teenage Dream (title track). Ugh, wig at this list slay A LOT sis. This is me singing along to My My My btw: thanks, we love an intellectual huh Chelsea snapped but she can deliver even better than this, plus what follows is all better so yeah. she still won. i never noticed but Bloom does serve Teenage Dream that ****ing gif On 12/23/2018 at 6:20 PM, World Eater said: I was expecting way more from yaeji than One More after those EPs tbqh. That Westerman sing is really nice, no clue who that is, but maybe I should get to know ha. Lizzo, KKB and Ariana made some points, oh yes, they did! Haven't listened to Low prior to Double Negative either, now I also know that Christmas EP, but that's it Multiple points have been made with that album, though Westerman is great, he has two EP's (or maybe three) and a couple of singles. Really nice, mellow sophisti-pop. Confirmation is his best song so far tho. volition Posted December 29, 2018 Posted December 29, 2018 Big God is soo dramatic and I love it for it, it is nice to see florence when she inhabits an instrumental that is slightly different from her usual stuff
