What's the tracking period? Because media traffic had it at 1,022,000 as the last pure sale update and they don't even track as many countries

Definitely more reliable, but since Mediatraffic doesn't report half as many countries as IFPI... They would have to inflate the sales a lot, there's over 100k of difference

On other forums sometimes there's a big discussion about Media traffic's inflated sales, and I've been believing it for a while now, that's why I never trust those ''WW Sales''

 

For example, they say Witness sold 18k in the last week, bringing it to a total of 733,000.

How is that possible for an album that flopped hard, is only charting in 6 countries (top 100 in 4), and doesn't have big streaming numbers?

 

Fifth Harmony's album is only charting in Grenada, the singles are flopping and the album flopped in streams too. Yet they claim it sold 21k this week?
