Renan90
Paul McCartney Earns First No. 1 Album in Over 36 Years on Billboard 200 Chart With 'Egypt Station' It’s his first debut at No. 1, and first chart-topper since “Tug of War” in 1982. Paul McCartney achieves his first No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 chart in over 36 years, as his new studio effort, Egypt Station, bows atop the list. The set, which was released on Sept. 7 via MPL/Capitol Records, launches with a larger-than-expected 153,000 equivalent album units earned in the week ending Sept. 13 according to Nielsen Music. Of that sum, 147,000 were in traditional album sales. The Billboard 200 chart ranks the most popular albums of the week in the U.S. based on multi-metric consumption as measured in equivalent album units. Units are comprised of traditional album sales, track equivalent albums (TEA) and streaming equivalent albums (SEA). The new Sept. 22-dated chart, where Egypt Station debuts at No. 1, will be posted in full on Billboard's websites on Tuesday, Sept. 18. Of Egypt Station’s 153,000 units, the majority were powered by traditional album sales: 147,000 copies sold. The remainder was comprised of SEA units (5,000) and TEA units (1,000). https://www.billboard.com/articles/columns/chart-beat/8475341/paul-mccartney-first-no-1-album-in-over-36-years-on-billboard-200-chart Billboard 200: #1(new) @PaulMcCartney, Egypt Station 153,000 (147,000 in pure sales). Drake's "In My Feelings" tallies a 10th week at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100chart (dated Sept. 22), granting the superstar yet another record: he leads the Hot 100 for an unprecedented 29th week in 2018, via his three No. 1s this year, passing Usher for the most time atop the chart in a single year. Usher tallied 28 weeks at No. 1 in 2004. Meanwhile, Drake becomes the first soloist, and second act overall, after Boyz II Men, with three songs that have topped the Hot 100 for at least 10 weeks each, as "Feelings" joins Drake's two other smashes that led for at least that long: "God's Plan," earlier this year, and "One Dance," featuring WizKid and Kyla, in 2016. Plus, Kanye West and Lil Pump's "I Love It" soars onto the Hot 100 at No. 6, as it arrives atop the Streaming Songs chart. Let's run down the top 10 on the newest Hot 100, which blends all-genre U.S. streaming, radio airplay and digital sales data. All charts will update on Billboard.com tomorrow (Sept. 18). https://www.billboard.com/articles/columns/chart-beat/8475427/drake-most-weeks-number-one-hot-100-in-my-feelings Hot 100 #1 In My Feelings (=) [10x #1] #2 Girls Like You (=) #3 I Like It (=) #4 Better Now (+1) #5 Lucid Dreams (+2) #6 I Love It (NEW) #7 FEFE (-3) #8 SICKO MODE (+1) #9 Taste (-1) #10 Love Lies (+1) #16 God is a woman (+1) #19 Back To You (+3) #21 No Tears Left To Cry (-2) #92 IDOL (-11) Edited September 17, 2018 by Renan90
