That's a terrible debut for Ava, I lowkey was expecting a low debut, but this is worse.  

 

Pop radio is seriously not going to let Ariana go that fast, her callouts are insane.

 

Ritt and Billie losing momentum each week while Pop still trying with them. Can't wait to see them freefalling.

 

Miss Tate improving amazing again, we love to see, I can only wish she can go Top 3.

What I do not understand is why is this so different from Shazam, where MH&MH is top 10. I always thought shazam was mostly influenced by radio listeners because they hear a song they like but they don't know what it is. So how is this so high there, and so low here.

 

One station I listen to does a daily Top 7 countdown of Toronto's top shazamed songs. And MH&MH has been #1 everyday of this week.

 

2nd question, is it too late for Willow to rebound on pop?

1. Definetely, Shazam is a great source to look for what's people liking or having interest in, mostly when it comes to new artists. I certainly didn't expect such bad callouts, but a similar situation occurred with "Levitating". Probably people who already know the song (they don't need to use Shazam) just don't like this song, which resembles its performance on streaming platforms (which is pretty weak). I don't have an absolute answer to the question, because I myself wonder what the heck radio is taking into account these days. I already think that callouts are not necessarily decisive, but they influence to some extent. We've seen cases where weak callouts have pushed some songs to a pretty high peak, and it's been happening lately. For example, TIA and PYRO being Top 3 and having quite weak callouts for their current rank. Pop radio is out of place nowadays, it's ridiculously stagnant and random.

 

2. Yes, it's too late, pretty much Pop has made its choice with "willow", they kept it testing for weeks and stalled.
