well one is a song written for pride month and the other is a poorly-chosen single that tried to just be as basic universal and catchy as possible  and not a single lyric in yntcd is as bad as truth hurts  but, as i said, all pop girls are guilty of having basic singles lyrically (Work, 7 rings, formation, etc) but at the end of the day, ms. swift is in the songwriting hall of fame for her unmatched writing ability among the girls  nobody has lyrics half as good as her.

Mediocre callouts for Lizzo and Halsey, not surprised at all. Both could be considered as too aggressive. It looks like Lizzo could go Top 10 on Pop because there's a big demand around it on other platforms, and there's a big audience who LOVES the song (mostly young ages, I believe), problem is that it doesn't appeal to all audiences. More conservative (and probably common) people don't really like it, and that's why an important negative reaction. If anything, it's not gonna serve longevity.

 

Panic! improving and hopefully can reach Top 3 with this one, so happy for him.

except the song became a hit because people loved it when it played on Someone Great, Lizzo wasn't there, the song got people's attention

if it was about her, Juice would be the one smashing, not a song released 2 years ago.

this is a clear and rare example of a song becoming a hit because the audience is into it, there wasn't massive promo, she wasn't a big name, there is no feature, it wasn't on big streaming playlists when it started smashing, and the fact that you want to twist that is hilarious.
