praising Beyoncé for not committing a crime is what we’re doing now.

Just when I think it couldn’t get any worse, this is normalized as praise now. Unreal. Hahaha

No one’s praising them for “not committing a crime.” We’re mad they didn’t even bother reporting the Tidal streams

“The CCIS found that 150 million TLOP plays and 170 million Lemonade plays were “duplicates” that did not reflect the actual listening activity of the subscribers they were attributed to.

If the numbers are legit, the implications for Tidal are serious. According to record label royalty payment reports obtained by Dagens Næringsliv, Tidal paid Kanye’s record label Universal €3.2 million in February and March 2016, the months immediately following his album release. Of that total, €2 million was directed to TLOP, a figure that would presumably be much smaller with 150 million fewer plays. Similarly, Tidal reportedly paid $2.5 million to Beyoncé’s label Sony in April and May of 2016, of a total royalty payment in excess of $4 million.” Source: Variety

No need to use “” she committed fraud and earned millions, that sounds like a crime to me.

The fact that a jazz album by a 90 year old + Gaga debuted with the same numbers and actually hit #1, but an on-trend hip hop album by arguably two of the biggest artists on the planet lost to boyband. :ahh:

They most definitely did considering Billboard is reporting 73M streams for the album when it only received around 10M from Spotify in the US

So, beyonce’s #1 album streak broken.

Wow she shouldnt have release this album at all.

Bey should've just done a normal release before the joint tour starts, she got too cocky releasing it it in middle of tracking week and pulling that surprise drop bs again :lmao:

I wonder if this is gonna help her tour that's currently bombing?

They won’t claim it as hers ‘it’s under the name The Carters so it’s a group not credited as Beyonce and Jay-Z’.

but they were gonna count it as beyonce's 7th #1 album if it was #1?

the album is under beyonce's discography, so?

The beyhive not caring about this album doesn't make any difference.

Despite what most of you may think, fanbases' contribution is negligible when it comes to mainstream releases. Casuals drive sales.

Anyway, US big opening numbers were the only thing they had and now, without the media overhype causing them, they're finally showing their true selling power.
