Oh well if Alessia misses the top 10..its topping Radio overall soon if Maroon 5 continues to plummet. It will hold the distinction of only Radio #1 to miss the Top 10 just in case it happens

Better buy the song and/or give it a few streams to try and help if you really want it. That's her obstacles for crossing the top 10. :dancehall:

Let me go hit up YouTube and Spotify then :gaycat4:

I already hit her up on YouTube a few times this week. I mean I probably won't make the difference but just like to think I might. I saw her live btw, she is so cute

OMN was #1 for 8 weeks on radio. Never topped streaming or sales chart

GS was #1 for 6 non-consecutive weeks in sales. It would have topped more weeks but One Direction and Taylor Swift dropped songs that topped the chart for one week at a time. It never topped the airplay chart (obviously), but it did top the on-demand streaming chart. Not sure how many weeks.

Sadly YouTube streams were added a few months after its peak. It looks like in 2013 in topped the official Streaming charts for 6 weeks between Thrift Shop and We Can't Stop. Who knew it had that power :worship:

Well OMN did sell over 4.6 million downloads. I'm not saying Gangham Style didn't deserve #1, but OMN did have significant sales and ODS, even if it didn't top either chart.

I want Closer to fall 5-7-8-10. It's already had one week at #5, but that would give it multiple weeks at every Top Five position, and at least one week at every Top Ten position.

Chingy f/ Tyrese - Pullin' Me Back (2006)

Radio: #1
Digital Sales: #63

How would it be the most radio-fueled hit in digital ever era? It was #14 on Digital, while #3 on Radio which is radio-fueled but nothing record-breaking.

Lil Wayne (maybe with Chris Brown? UMICH looked this up the other day) was #1 airplay and #48 ITunes, so he's second. Alessa would be third, but a sales and streaming boost from her upcoming SNL performance could even her numbers out a bit.

As far as "You," I believe that song went top twenty in sales earlier in its chart run, but when it hit #1 on radio, it was #48 on sales.

It wouldn't be the first since all those songs in the mid 90s like Don't Speak that went #1 on airplay and didn't chart because no sales release.

Closer is down to 17 on ITunes. I think it will fall below Bad Things. BT is already ahead in sales and ODS, and will lead Closer in airplay by Monday.

By the way, here is the link to the song BT samples, Fastball's "Out Of My Mind" (1999).

Oh okay. The metrics just didn't peak together. I think Alessa will get a sales and streaming boost from SNL though, and that will lessen the discrepancy between those components and Scars' airplay.

if youtube would be a thing and Spotify had its power like it has right now, Gangnam Style would break Mariah Carey record. When that song was a hit, Spotify number one song has like 300,000 or 400,000 plays, when it has 1,5-2m right now (big hits over 2,5m).

How many streams and sales should Zaylor have to even get a shot at #1?

The obsession with that record and every other one set by Mariah Carey...
