That's probably not even enough to enter the bubbling under. Have it at 1.7M streams this week.

How would it be the most radio-fueled hit in digital ever era? It was #14 on Digital, while #3 on Radio which is radio-fueled but nothing record-breaking. Edited January 24, 2017 by iHype.

Nasally rapping and Tyrese an unknown singer to the masses singing gotta make it work or something. I didn't know it was a big radio hit passed urban so that's a surprise.

It was radio driven, but not THAT much compared to some of their other hits and songs like Scars To Your Beautiful. One More Night being radio driven was a big focus because it was blocking Gangnam Style which was easily more popular, but there are lots of songs more airplay driven really. I thought it blocked Gangnan Style because youtube wasn't included.

Streaming was a factor but not YouTube streams. It was just on-demand streaming services like Spotify. I don't think Tidal or Applemusic were even a thing yet. I could be wrong. But streaming was nowhere near the influence it is now.

Yeah, but it was only On-Demand streaming (Spotify, etc.) at the time, and I think back then it was about 20% of the Hot 100.

KLatz Posted January 25, 2017 Posted January 25, 2017 Rooting for the good sis Scars to Your Beautiful next week. I need Alessia to snatch that second top ten hit!

OMN was #1 for 8 weeks on radio. Never topped streaming or sales chart GS was #1 for 6 non-consecutive weeks in sales. It would have topped more weeks but One Direction and Taylor Swift dropped songs that topped the chart for one week at a time. It never topped the airplay chart (obviously), but it did top the on-demand streaming chart. Not sure how many weeks. Sadly YouTube streams were added a few months after its peak. It looks like in 2013 in topped the official Streaming charts for 6 weeks between Thrift Shop and We Can't Stop. Who knew it had that power Edited January 25, 2017 by PurrKaty

Better buy the song and/or give it a few streams to try and help if you really want it. That's her obstacles for crossing the top 10. :dancehall:

If I remember correctly Harlem Shake had over 100M streams and debuted #1. Thrift Shop fell to #2. And Stay launched to #3. I thought it got #1 on sales, but I guess I just remember it going to #1 on iTunes. Still, it's nowhere near on the same level as something like Scars To Your Beautiful. One More Night has probably sold about the same as Gangnam Style, even if it never made #1 on the sales chart. And it's not surprising that Gangnam Style was still able to top the streaming chart in 2013. Don't you remember how massive it was? lol. In my opinion the biggest hit of the decade. My theory is that Billboard were planning to add Youtube anyway (my reasoning for that is because they launched the Streaming Songs chart a few weeks before, so obviously they were planning it. The Streaming Songs chart before they added Youtube was almost identical to the On-Demand chart, they wouldn't have bothered starting such a chart if they didn't have further plans for it imo). But because of Harlem Shake I think they "rushed" it and added Youtube slightly before they were planning to, because after Gangnam Style missing #1 I don't think they wanted it to happen again. So I don't think it was a coincidence at all, but I think they were going to include Youtube anyway even if it wasn't for Harlem Shake, maybe just a few weeks or months later. Oh, thanks for correcting me on OMN. I didn't think it topped the On-demand charts. Last records I see for US sales has GS over 4M and OMN over 4.6M. GS might not have been as up to date because he's not as big an act as M5 in the US. I don't know if I'd call it the biggest hit this decade. But it is right up there with the massive hits in terms of impact like Party Rock Anthem, Uptown Funk, Rolling In The Deep, Happy, See You Again, Somebody That I Used To Know, Call Me Maybe, Blurred Lines, Thrift Shop, Tik Tok, etc... (Idk if these are the biggest hits but they sure seem like it)
