Basically, each judge is a separate region this season. Every week, we will have four individual charts ranked on how much we liked a song, the scores will not be out of 10 but will instead be song “sales”. Then the global chart will compile the songs from highest to lowest selling.

If I'm reading this correctly, each of the judges represent a continent, and how they judge basically determines how we chart in that continent. This will basically determine if we're "local" or "global". I really don't think it's much different to the old judging method, it's just a bit of an aesthetic thing.

instead of just scoring songs, we're going to make it look like they "charted." each region's sales is basically just each judge's scores

Oh, okay. In that case, I don’t like that there’s no North America. Where are my country songs about ****** small towns going to chart? :jonny:

Sorry but we don’t know North America since 11.2016

Hello everyone! Thank you for the preliminary support of our new season. Sorry I couldn’t make it to Platinum Records HQ for the unveiling but my flight was delayed due to severe storms here in the Oceanic region. (And I had to go to work.)

I know there was some uncertainty in regards to PH’s future but Hor, the judges and I all feel like there will be a lot of fun had this season. That was the primary objective, to have fun.

Please ask any questions about the storyline concept this season and we’ll do our best to answer them (without giving too much away, of course!) In short, this season will function like most other PH seasons with minor differences in how judging and scores are represented but not in how the game actually functions. Cosmetic differences to give a classic franchise a new feel while retaining the gameplay mechanics everyone knows and understands. There will be a lot more transparency with scoring and a different relationship between judges and contestants this season.

Without further ado, I think we should get the traditional PH Introductions underway. What’s your songwriting experience, who are your songwriting inspirations, what is your shoe size (@Lémur) etc. Also, if you don’t have a Discord account, I’d strongly recommend getting one!

Songwriting experience: I wrote a lot from 17-22, and then nothing. Participated in 2 (or 3?) seasons of Platinum Hit, finishing second place in season 8.

Songwriting inspirations: Taylor Swift, Madonna, Troye Sivan, George Michael, Brandy Clark, Dolly Parton, MUNA, Howard Ashman.

Shoe size: 11-12, depending on style and brand.

What else do you want to know? :-*

Songwriting experience: I started writing lyrics when I was 16 (I have like 100 songs at least on my Google Drive, and that doesn't include the ones I lost over time/deleted) and I taught myself to produce just so I could have things to write to. Of course, I also have the infamous record of being the only person to participate in every season of Platinum Hit in some form (Contestant, Judge, or Host)

Songwriting inspirations: Although I can't really point to any artist and say I (want to) write like them, Kesha is who inspired me to try writing to begin with. I fell in love with her via her unreleased discography, and I was impressed with how massive it was. I wanted to have hundreds of songs I could say I've written, even if not all of them could be winners. Obviously you learn from your mistakes. :heart2:

Show Size - idk fucking...10 or something. Completely forgot :cm:

Fun facts: I have a Soundcloud that I don't put in my signature for whatever reason. I recently decided to post (what I had of) an instrumental I made for a song I wrote a while back. Ironically, it was a song I actually did have an artist in mind for, which was Ariana Grande. I think the bassline needs mixed better so if I ever go back to it, that will be fixed.

(I know how to spell Van Gogh, it just doesn't want to fix it for me. :cm: )

Songwriting experience: None, but I used to write nonsensical lyrics singing to tunez i created on my barbie keyboard when i was 6 :-*

Songwriting inspirations: all the PC music artists, GFOTY, Liz, A.G Cook, Charli XCX & Queen Nadia Oh :-*

Shoe size: 6 uk

If you touch my breast

You'll get a chicken fillet

Don't underestimate

I'll make you regret it

Poochie, Poochie, Poochie

You're making too much noise

Now here's your bowl of dog food

Eat up, I hope you enjoy

This enough to go diamond?
