Adele did 2 600K+ weeks in 2015 and Justin Timberlake did a 380K week in 2016. Her album is highly anticipated, are you sure it won't do more? I find it really hard to predict Katy's sales, concidering the flop that was Rise... Edited February 7, 2017 by peterstyles13
toshibatoshiba Posted February 7, 2017 Posted February 7, 2017 Wait a minute. All Gaga songs discounted @ 99 or 69 cents? This is giving me Amazon 99 cents album tease.
iHype. Posted February 7, 2017 Posted February 7, 2017 There will never be another song to debut with 300,000+. (Maybe ONE more at most, that being Taylor's lead) Only 1 song did so in 2016, and that song had the biggest radio deal in 15 years and that was 1 year ago. Digital sales are already down another -20% on last year's.
black Posted February 7, 2017 Posted February 7, 2017 what are the biggest debuts of 2016 on US digital sales ?

Closer debuted with 103K, and did 208K during it's peak week. If a song that big (Top 5 biggest chart monster this decade) did 208K during it's peak week, then that tells you where digital sales are at.

She can comeback in 2020 where the #1 song is selling 2 copies, but she would still sell more than 300.000.
kitasss_vlc Posted February 7, 2017 Posted February 7, 2017 I kinda agree... Adele will definetely sell more than 300k first week with her next era... I dont think more than 500k-600k but yeah, 300k is more than doable for her...

And sales declined by 25% last year– assuming that they're declining at a similar or faster rate, the climate is already significantly worse than it was at Closer's peak.

Hello, Thus far, what are the "Top 10 Biggest Chart Monsters" this decade? I'm assuming "We Found Love" has a top 10 placement somewhere, as does "Party Rock Anthem", "Uptown Funk", "Happy", "Rolling In The Deep", "Happy" and "Love Yourself" also? If you had to stipulate an exact top 10 ranking as of 2017, what would it be? Furthermore, how many entries do you think Rihanna has right now? Drake also? I suppose some of the other Rock; Indie/Alternative Pop/Rock acts I'm a fan of aren't even close to charting in the top 100. Edited February 7, 2017 by ParallelLines

If you had to stipulate an exact top 10 ranking, what would the outcome be? Hot 100 Decade-End (So Far): 1. Party Rock Anthem (#5 on All-Time Hot 100) 2. Uptown Funk! (#10~ on All-Time Hot 100) 3. We Found Love (#25 on All-Time Hot 100) 4. Somebody That I Used to Know (#30 on All-Time Hot 100) 5. Rolling in the Deep (#32 on All-Time Hot 100) 6. Call Me Maybe (#47 on All-Time Hot 100) 7. Blurred Lines (#48 on All-Time Hot 100) 8. Closer (#64~ on All-Time Hot 100) [still charting, #5] 9. Royals (#65 on All-Time Hot 100) 10. All About That Bass (#70 on All-Time Hot 100] If you take into account the re-current rule 52/25 placed in recent years, Uptown Funk! should be #1. But Billboard is dumb sometimes, and doesn't take into account recurrent rules on their decade/all-time charts, so probably won't on the 2010s Decade-End either.

I did not know that this song already had a possible top 10 ranking so far. That's fantastic. When is "Billboard" going to next update the "All-Time" charts for both the Hot 100 and Hot 100 artists? Do you think "Work" and "One Dance" has a chance to place in the top 20 - 40? Anyhow, thanks alot.

Cz! Posted February 7, 2017 Posted February 7, 2017 I'm rooting for Gaga. I hope MR can snatch a top 10 peak on the Hot 100.
