Ed Sheeran sets a new record on this week’s Official Albums Chart, becoming the first artist in UK chart history to have three different albums each log a whole year inside the Top 10.

Since his arrival in 2011, Ed has consistently proven himself as an artist with staying power in the charts. The singer-songwriter’s latest album ÷ is Number 2 on this week’s chart, spending its 52nd week inside the Top 10. Ed’s debut album, +, has spent a total of 56 weeks inside the Top 10 since its release in 2011, while his second album X – also back into the fold today at Number 10 – has logged an incredible 98 weeks in the Top 10.

Prior to Ed’s record-breaking achievement, The Beatles and Simon & Garfunkel were the only other acts to have more than one album spend a year in the Top 10. The Beatles managed it with Please Please Me and Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band, as did Simon & Garfunkel with Bridge Over Troubled Water and their Greatest Hits collection.

Meanwhile, The Greatest Showman’s Motion Picture Cast Recording is Number 1 for an eighth week on the Official Albums Chart, while Dua Lipa holds firm at Number 3 with her self-titled debut album, matching the peak it achieved after The BRITs last week.

Drake celebrates another week of chart glory this week as his latest single, God's Plan, extends its reign at Number 1 on the Official Singles Chart.

The track scores a sixth week in pole position, holding off Rudimental's These Days ft. Jess Glynne, Macklemore and Dan Caplen, which spends a fourth week in the runner-up slot.

This week's highest new entry goes to US rapper Post Malone, who lands at Number 4 with his new single Psycho. It's the artist's second UK Top 10 single, following last year's chart-topping Rockstar.

Completing this week's Top 5 is Marshmello and Anne-Marie's collaboration Friends, up four places to 5.
Justin Timberlake's Say Something ft. Chris Stapleton zooms 12 places to Number 10 following his performance at last week's BRIT Awards. The climb earns Justin his 20th Top 10 single and first from his Man Of The Woods album

W T F :dies: I wonder how many weeks it'll stay in the top10, considering another single will be released soon (most likely Happier) it'll probably stay top 10 for a long time, i hope for 80+ weeks :fan: Its also been top 5 for 49 of these 52 weeks, in the other 3 weeks its been #6
Happier has also been certified platinum and its not even a single yet
