She swept the Grammys, performed at the Oscars, was commissioned to create the new James Bond theme, and landed at #1 last week with "Everything I Wanted." The only thing that can stop her run is heat from her competition, including top 5 staple "Dance Monkey" and "Don't Start Now." Also in the hunt is Future and the Weeknd. Could either make it to the top this week, or will the lights prove to be too blinding?

• History is made as Lewis Capaldi breaks an 8 year countdown record for most weeks spent on the countdown. His breakthrough single "Someone You Loved" debuted in June of 2019. Now, 8 months later, the song is still riding high, sitting just outside the top 10. In its 34th week, "Someone You Loved" has now spent more weeks on the countdown than any other song, ever. Congratulations to Lewis Capaldi, and pour one out tonight for Gotye and Kimbra.

For the week ending March 14, 2020

• Cheers to the freakin' Weeknd! For a second time during its countdown run, "Blinding Lights" hit #1 a week ago. To make it to a third week atop the chart, the Weeknd is going to need to put up with competition from Justin Bieber and Arizona Zervas, both of whom skyrocketed into the top 3 a week ago. Can either make the jump to #1 this week? And don't forget about former #1 "Don't Start Now" by Dua Lipa. She's already spent four weeks at #1 with her Future Nostalgia hit, and she can move up the record books with a fifth week atop the chart this week.

• For the first time in its 25 weeks on the countdown Post Malone drops out of the top 10 with "Circles," and for the first time in 2020 "Dance Monkey" drops outside the top 10 as well. Just how far of a drop will both former #1s fall?

• For a second week in a row, there are three debuts and another song returning to action. We welcome back Dua Lipa's "Physical" this week, as well as debuts from big names including Sam Smith, Demi Lovato, and Roddy Ricch. To make room for the new additions, the countdown bids farewell to the Black Eyed Peas, Blake Shelton, Jonas Brothers, and the Pussycat Dolls.

Gaga moves into sole possession of 7th place all time among most #1 singles by any artist. Only Ariana Grande, Bruno Mars, Maroon 5, Taylor Swift, Katy Perry, and Rihanna have scored more #1 singles on the chart. And with Chormatica coming later this year, Lady Gaga will have plenty of opportunities to keep moving up the record books in 2020.

For the week ending March 21, 2020

• Lady Gaga made her way to #1 last week with "Stupid Love," her first solo #1 single "Million Reasons." There are plenty of reasons for her to stay at #1, but just as many to say her time could be short lived. The Weeknd is a constant threat, and "Blinding Lights" could make its way back to #1 this week. And there's Roddy Ricch, who has dominated the Hot 100 for the past couple of months and could take over the countdown any week now.

• Three songs debut this week, and another one returns. The Black Eyed Peas re-enter the countdown with "RITMO," and the debuts this week come from Alec Benjamin, Brockhampton, and Regard. To make room for the new additions, the countdown says goodbye to the Dixie Chicks, Dua Lipa, Lil Nas X, and Sam Smith.
