Legend won! Stay mad haters. 22 years in and hanging with newer artists. 2 Top 10s. A recent solo #1 single that still hasn’t been outsold. 450k+ tickets from NA first leg. Wow. We’ll see how other debuts go this year.

Joanne debuted with much less tho :doc:

OT: JT WON :clap3:

Joanne debuted less by 90K, I think gaga is easily capable to push through +90K if Joanne was heavily promoted like MOTW + released on the week of her performance.

Cuz it sold 20K more than the minimal predictions? :deadbanana4: very sad.

I thought he would do Beyonce sized numbers but it turned out to be just slight above a Gaga-ish mess.

Trolls debuted massively low (#3 peak) but eventually sold a lot over time so you never know. CSTF pushed SPS of course but he’s loved in the US and Say something is becoming a hit.

It was above the 290k high and also it’s still with the biggest debuts of recent years..... he’s not some New artist. Most artists would Love this debut.

With the SUPERBOWL sis? None of those artists had that opportunity so it's a bit sad to compare them to him. And just a few years ago he was able to sell almost a million effortlessly...

How much would he have done without the Super Bowl is the question. Damn :biblio:

Fresh off his Super Bowl LII halftime performance, RCA’s Justin Timberlake dominates the Top 50 Chart, as fifth studio album Man of the Woods goes #1 with 296k. MigosCulture II (QC/Motown/Capitol), meanwhile, slides to #2, moving more than 90k in its second week out. The red-hot trio also has four songs in the Song Revenue Chart Top 10, with “Walk It Talk It” f/Drake at #2 ($167k+) and “Stir Fry” at #4 ($152k).

Three other new releases make the overall chart’s Top 20 this week. NOW’s Now 65 appears at #10, Rich Brian’s Amen (88rising/EMPIRE) is #16 and AWOLNATION’s Here Come the Runts (Red Bull) comes in at #18.

NF’s Perception (NF Real Music/Caroline) jumps #24-19, as breakout hit “Let You Down” continues to move up inside the Pop radio Top 10 with sights set on the Top 5. As for more noteworthy moves, Maroon 5’s Red Pill Blues (222/Interscope) rises #38-27 in tandem with the release of the “Wait” music video, which stars headline-grabbing actress Alexandra Daddario. And then there’s Warner Bros.Dua Lipa, whose eponymous album goes #34-28, as smash “New Rules” spends a second week at #1 on the Pop radio chart. It’s also worth mentioning that Dua just did SNL.

When it comes to marketshare, SME is #1 with 39%, UMG is #2 with 36% and WMG follows with 23%, while the indies claim 3%.

Streeting this week are TDE/Aftermath/Interscope’s Black Panther and Republic’s Fifty Shades Freed soundtracks, as well as a set from Columbia’s MGMT.

Sis his minimal predictions were 275K that we were kiking about days ago, he sold 296K; Thats 21K (to be specific) more that the bottom of the barrel, simple math. So if he "WON" by selling 21K more than those tragic predictions then the standards must be really low at this point.

None of the artist you mentioned released an album around their super bowl performances; the only artist I can think of who starting her era after her super bowl performance was Beyonce with Lemonade, and she scored BIG. Comparing his album with lemonade would be more relevant than naming random artists.

I’m surprised Brian’s album didn’t make the top 10 tbh
