Is this 300-350k sps or album sales. If album sales he is doing amazing. If sps well rip.

SPS or not, he's not a streaming force. so not a big diffrence between the two

This is kinda underwhelming. I was expecting 1 million. But it makes sense.

  1. He doesn't have a hit
  2. No promo
  3. Released in Q1 which is the weakest time for Album Releases

He'll probably do 400-500k when it's all said and done with his first week.

I wouldn't say no promo

His album and singles have been teased for quite some time, it's all over social media and music outlets

Also, 20/20 part 1 was released in Q1 as well

Purpose opened with 522K in a better sales climate, I'd be surprised if his next album does 500K+

True, but Bieber now is a bit bigger than he was back when Purpose dropped. Sorry had just begun, but he's gotten Love Yourself, Cold Water, Let Me Love You, I'm the One, and Despacito since.

I think JB is going to do killer numbers next time around if the music is slapping

People in here pretending these numbers are anything short of amazing :ahh:

They’ll realize when other 2018 debuts barely even come close in the end

You can say what you want, i'm sure JT wasn't expecting these numbers even with the sales decline.

Expecting 10M pure sales first week due to SB boost.

But seriously, his second week is gonna be the pits mess. Good luck sis.

Actually, this will help his second week. Super Bowl ends tonight so there’s only 4 days left of the tracking week. Super Bowl effect lasts around a week, sometimes more, so half of next weeks sales will be cushioned.

anything bigger than 500k it’s going to be massive considering the hate and lack of hits !

Not sure what you’re cringing at, weirdo. She sold over 1M first week, so my fave does not apply to what he said.

The only people outselling JT at this moment are:

-Taylor Swift (the biggest female pop star of this decade)

-Adele (she outsold everyone)

-Kendrick (the biggest hip hop artist of this decade)

-Justin Bieber (the biggest male pop star this decade)

-Beyonce

He's over 20 years into his career, and considered a legend already, has no hit single currently, and yet he's still outselling everyone but 5 people :toofunny2:

Sit down ATRL and pray that most of your faves could reach 350k even with a Superbowl boost

*Drake is bigger

Under 500k with SB would be bad, tbh.

Lack of hits when it comes to selling albums is so overrated. Its not that important when you have nice built-in fanbase.

I'm more curious about the second week

Whatever people say, JT is doing amazing. Esp. in this climate of sales & so many years into his career compared to his peers as well.

I'll remind some of you of your comments about these sales, when your fave releases. <3

The decline is really bad, his second week is going to be interesting.

Oh right I forgot about him, him too, but is he really bigger than Kendrick?

350k is still bigger than Drake's latest effort tho

Sis Drake's View sold 800K pure sale and 1M+ units. More Life was mix tape which also sold 500K units.

He had a hit. It’s #2 on iTunes. Go check.

Not bad but definitely not great or worth the excuses of him being 20 years into this career.

It does prove he has an established fanbase but I wonder if this will hold well in the long run.

He'll need to do an amazing job tonight

precisely. People thinking Timberlake would hit 1M even with a hit were reaching but those claiming 300-350k when he is an ESTABLISHED act that hasn't gone through any tarnish in his image and had a massive hit about 2 years ago.

I'm hoping SB takes him to 400k but this is GOOD not great and not bad or a flop either.

True. They are trying to suggest he had no hits but sold this amount.

He put out 3 songs. One is #1 on itunes and features a major country artist.

he had a plethora of press about SuperBowl.

I think he's just at a point in his career where he's not the go to person so it'll be based off of his fanbase and any new ones that latch on based on the single at the moment.
