Look at Taylor selling 8k with an album released 2 months ago and Eminem selling the same when his album dropped a month ago It's 2018! In like, 5 years probably 90% of the units of almost every artist will come from streaming This is already true for the vast majority of rappers from week 2 or so onward It's also true for pop and even alt/country/rock artists after enough time passes
Right Now Posted January 24, 2018 Posted January 24, 2018 Jesus Christ Camilla! All that promo and push didn’t equate much longevity in terms of people actually wanting to buy the product.

Mr. Duff Posted January 24, 2018 Posted January 24, 2018 I think Camila's second week drop is great. I am indifferent with her but some of you really want to criticize her always. I think she's doing really great with her second week. Fall Out Boy They did amazing considering how terrible the songs they released have performed. This may not be the best FOB album but it's still great! I'm happy they're crossing the 100k mark, and I hope they debut at #1. Demi's still in the predictions I am fascinated, she could be in the top 20 again. I really hope Tell Me You Love Me (the single) becomes a hit, it's her best single so far.
britsjournals Posted January 24, 2018 Posted January 24, 2018 Camila staying top 5 in her second week I’m perchedT

Martyr Of Fame Posted January 24, 2018 Posted January 24, 2018 Just picked up a physical copy of The Greatest Showman soundtrack. It better snatch
Thuggin Posted January 24, 2018 Posted January 24, 2018 Great hold for Camila. Larger streaming as opposed to sales will give it longevity.
fridayteenage Posted January 24, 2018 Posted January 24, 2018 (edited) camila's 1-4 drop vs. females' first 2 weeks in 2017: taylor 1-1 pink 1-3 kesha 1-5 halsey 1-7 lana 1-10 katy 1-out of t10 shania 1-out of t10 lorde 1-out of t10 mary 3-out of t10 kehlani 3-out of t10 sza 3-out of t10 demi 3-out of t10 reba 4-out of t10 miley 5-out of t10 hmm. FAN Posted January 24, 2018 Posted January 24, 2018 Camila's drop is pretty standard. Maybe even above the average pop girl's so I'm not sure what people are kii'ing at

Why do you bother posting in a sales thread if you’re completely ignorant to the premise? Her hold is the third strongest for any recent female album, as shown above, and she’s already guaranteed a spot on the YE BB200. Pure sales are over. Move on and join us in 2018, where album equivalents reign.

There’s next to no interest in that, just like her 5H counterparts, despite the push, which doesn’t bode well for touring. Her streaming is great though. And if I was talking about that, then it would have been observed in my last post.

Digital sales are completely pointless now. Streams are what really matter and Camila is doing more than great there and it’s giving her a great overall performance. We’re not going to see any more strong sellers unless they’re established prior to 2011 or they do HAC music. Just look at Ariana and Meghan. Ariana is more popular than Meghan by a huge margin but Title outsold My Everything because Ariana appeals to the younger demographic whereas Meghan went the HAC route. Camila will be the same, only to a more dramatic effect due to her later start than Ari.
slicknickshady Posted January 24, 2018 Posted January 24, 2018 Poor Eminem. Streaming sucks. Physically he’s selling more than 6 of those that will finish above him.
FlyOnTheWall Posted January 24, 2018 Posted January 24, 2018 Favorite band better pull THROUGH with those numbers Extremely happy for them!

ATRL really does do the MOST with Camila. AMAZING hold for her with no tour bundles and not an ounce of second week promo in the US. Girlie snatched her #1s and dropped off the face of the earth.
Miles. Posted January 24, 2018 Posted January 24, 2018 Oh wow I'm stunned to see FOB slaying with a massively delayed album featuring 6 flop singles including a lead that the majority of their fans hated. Somehow, they did THAT Nice hold for Camila too
Diet Pepsi Posted January 24, 2018 Posted January 24, 2018 I thought Camila was the next Ariana,Selena,Taylor,Beyoncé & Rihanna? For sure thought she would have a multi week #1
DELE2125 Posted January 24, 2018 Posted January 24, 2018 Camila's drop An 83% drop in pure sales and 70% drop in SPS Fall Out Boy pulling THRU! Bisexual King Pete Wentz won
Solarie Posted January 24, 2018 Posted January 24, 2018 So many years into career, and they're still able to sell their albums. Truly remarkable, especially give how the genre they do is so unpopular these days.
