The fact that Joanne produced a 2x platinum US hit is such a miracle. Ppl were thinking nothing would be a hit...of course superbowl helped but if the GP did not connect with MR it would not have done this well. So happy. Now she officially has no era without a top 10 hit and a multi platinum hit! :clap3:

MR's not certified 2xPlat yet in the US

Omg wait. The Cure outsold Perfect Illusion and outstreamed it too :rip: i love both songs though. To what album will they count The Cures streams though? How much sps will it be and to which album will it go? Will it be added to Joanne? Or will she add it to her new album? I would like to have a new album out this year. And did John Wayne / A - YO outsell G.U.Y.?

She should re-release Joanne with The Cure + more 3 songs at this point.. it would help a lot with streaming, I believe.

Make a repackage, deluxe version, idk, what Sia did with This is Acting.

I agree. The Joanne Cure album can make the album even a bigger hit :duca:

Isn't the song Monster being so high because they add it every year to the Halloween playlists on spotify? It was the 2nd most streamed halloween song after thriller iirc. It should have been a single together with DITD though.

Monster would've done better than DITD on charts.

Fan favorites should always remain as an album track, as they tend to fail as singles.

I'd be here for this, tbh.

Premiere another single at the Dive Bar show, then release it with proper promo strategy (!!! :biblio:). And then release the re-release on September 15th when she headlines Rock In Rio. :michael:

In normal circumstances, you have a point, but the GP would have devoured anything from The Fame Monster. I agree that Monster should've been the fourth single, but she still could've released Dance In the Dark as a fifth single, even if she kept the same Born This Way release schedule.

She was a bit overexposed before BTW and fourth/fifth single would push it too far.

Isn't it going to be certified then? I think it has a chance to go platinum. I don't think the Joanne era is over. And if it's over, i think it will be her most forgotten era ever. We will get a 3rd single i'm sure.

I think someone said it's at like 835k RIAA units. If they rereleased it with The Cure on it it would automatically go Platinum in RIAA units.

So what? She ended overesxposing herself even more with BTW.

A fourth single, and most importantly a hit single, wouldn't hurt her in any way, she'd only benefit..

If she/her team was/were really scared of overexposure, the BTW era would've been very different than it was..

Exactly. I'M sure that even if she released Monster and DITD today it could be huge! All of them were top 10 material and would push the album sales (and SPS) even further. Monster could go top 3 and DITD top 5. Wasn't DITD already gold or something? All of her songs got huge sales just like Telephone was charting on the hot100 before it even was a single.
