Fifteen Posted December 22, 2021 Posted December 22, 2021 pretty amazing tbh REDTV could cross 4M ww in the long run
Squall Posted January 7, 2022 Posted January 7, 2022 if we go by Billboard units (so without counting pre-release units), Lover is definitely coming for 4M this year: 2019: 1,918,000 2020: 848,300 2021: 660,000 Total: 3,426,000 The longevity

Its probably going to end up being the best selling female album released in 2019 at this rate, considering Billie Eilish's When We All Asleep, Where Do We Go? has seen a big decline in consumption compared to this point last year, while Lover has seen a big surge.

Taylor will therefore become the first female artist to have her first seven studio albums reach quadruple platinum status in the US, the first to have her first eight albums reach triple platinum status, and the first to have her first nine albums reach multi-platinum status. Update to this: Total US pure sales: Lover: 1,411,000 Folklore: 1,568,000 Evermore: 813,000 Fearless (Taylor's Version): 521,000 Red (Taylor's Version): 621,000 Total US SPS: Lover: 3,728,000 Folklore: 3,148,000 Evermore: 1,787,000 Fearless (Taylor's Version): 1,016,000 Red (Taylor's Version): 1,137,000 Based on their current weekly stats, Lover will top 4M in total US activity in June 2022, Folklore will top 4M in total US activity in February 2023, and Evermore will top 2M total US activity in April 2022. Hard to predict what Fearless TV and Red TV would do, but it's not unrealistic to expect them to finish the year with 1.5M and 2M total activity. Edited January 8, 2022 by ithinkheknowsoutsold

These numbers do include pre-release units though. Without pre-release units, Reputation would be at around 4,168,000 and Lover would be at 3,463,000 units. Lover's RIAA units are therefore accurate, but Reputation's RIAA units are over 5M since RIAA takes into account all shipments and not just sales, and Reputation has quite a lot of still unsold shipments owing to the release of the Target magazine 'bundles' in its biggest sales weeks. 8 hours ago, simmnfierzig said: Thank you No worries! 8 hours ago, simmnfierzig said: The older ones are probably harder to update Unfortunately they are, otherwise I would've done them a while ago. I'm hopeful it can do more than that And possibly pass evermore this year or next I'd like to see it do more, but Taylor's last album released in November, Reputation, did around 939,000 units in its second year, and it had a massive stadium tour as well as a big hit in the form of Delicate to its name that year. Red TV likely won't have that, so its units should be lower. To compensate for that, it's gonna have better vinyl shipments and much stronger streaming, so around 800,000 to 1,000,000 units for this year seems reasonable.

It's at 4,432,000 units in the US right now without taking into account the shipments, and with them, it should easily go above 5x platinum eligibility. Therefore the RIAA units could be anywhere between 5.2M and 5.6M as of now.

By the Water Posted January 23, 2022 Posted January 23, 2022 Y'all need to remember that some of those shipments were eventually sold and counted as sales for Billboard/Nielsen but were already counted by RIAA then

A lot of those shipments remain unsold, since after 2017 Reputation has sold only ~400,000 copies in the US, whereas Big Machine and Taylor thought the album would do around 2M units in the first week alone, meaning they overestimated the demand and shipped way more copies than needed. Even if they shipped only 500,000 copies in the four years after the first week, there remain several hundreds of thousands of unsold copies available in the US, more than enough to take it over 5M RIAA units.

The Man - 325,665,910 (+1,544,353) Wildest Dreams is rising so fast If Taylor didn't boycott Spotify earlier, I believe both Shake It Off and Blank Space would have 1.5B+ streams each, Wildest Dreams at 1B+ meanwhile Bad Blood and Style at 700M+ each Based on current rate, I expect Style to make into Top 20 within next 4-6 weeks and replace The Man Edited February 15, 2022 by Cloröx
