CHART UPDATE

Since the last chart update was at the end of November, here is a quick recap of the biggest movements from December through mid January

 

• The Weekend RULED December, as "Starboy" stayed #1 the whole month. Lady Gaga earned her 2nd #1 in the new year, as "Million Reasons" reached #1 for 2 weeks, before "Starboy RECLAIMED the #1 spot last week.
• The Weekend and Daft Punk have taken over the title of Most Weeks at #1 with 9 weeks, beating out Rihanna & Drake's "Work", which spent 7 weeks at #1
• Shakira & Maluma's song "Chantaje" entered the TOP 10, making it the first Non English song to enter the TOP 10
• After lingering in the bottom half of the top 40, "Black Beatles" FINALLY made its way into the TOP 10.
• twenty one pilots now hold the record for MOST WEEKS in the TOP 40 with "Ride" staying on the chart for 39 weeks!!! The previous record holder was Sia's "Cheap Thrills" with 35 weeks
