LWYMMD sets another radio record

When Billboard publishes its charts next week, LWYMMD will become the first #1 song in pop songs history to leave the chart before going recurrent.

Songs go recurrent after 20 weeks but the song failed to make it that long after a catastrophic collapse on radio.

LWYMMD lasted only 17 weeks on the chart, this being its last week: https://www.billboard.com/charts/pop-songs

'Lemon' by N.E.R.D and Rihanna knocked it out the top 40 of mediabase Mainstream Top 40 on the 17th December, and hence it was purged from the chart the following day. This will be reflected on Billboard next week. Previously the highest peaking song not to survive the test of time was Britney's 'Hold It Against Me' which peaked at #3 on pop songs but lasted 19 weeks on the chart (2 weeks longer than Taylor).

Another radio record in the basket :clap3:

So it didn't need massive long lasting radio support to go 3x platinum and be #1 for 3 weeks in the biggest music market :clap3::gaycat4:
