Welcome to the FOURTEENTH season of one of ATRL's biggest games -- Let's Spoon! _________________________________________________________________________________________ This tournament is ATRL's adaptation of musical chairs! The game is based on the iconic card game Spoons. Here's a quick TLDR summary of how it works: - Each day, there is a LIVE challenge (first one on Sunday, April 24th). - The first person to complete the challenge wins the first "spoon", which I announce in the thread. - After I announce the first spoon, everyone else in the game has to post the word "spoon" in the thread to stay in the game. - It's basically like musical chairs. There is one less spoon than number of players each round - so the last person left who doesn't post "spoon" will be eliminated. - This same process repeats each round. This game will require a daily check-in that takes less than a minute! Later on, the spoons go quicker, so activity would need to increase as the game goes on. This season, we will have rotating times; each day, the challenge will be at a different, pre-announced time. WELCOME TO THE SECOND ATRL WORD SEARCH GAME How does it work? A word search with a word bank will be given. (Three word searches for the game overall, alternating and integrating the themes of spring and pop artists.) Each person can only find ONE word per round. If you find a word, state: 1) the word found 2) the two cross-section numbers (the top and side numbers that intersect) of the first letter of the word for us to be able to find the word 3) the direction aka whether the word goes across, diagonal (to the right, up, etc.), backwards (going up, to the left, etc.), down. For clarification, if I cannot find the word from the cross-section numbers and direction, it will not be counted. There are no sign ups, so join whenever you feel! The rounds will be updated on Monday and Thursday evenings EST until after the word search is completed. Is there scoring? Hello, I am your host, Miley Cyrus and this is ATRL's Next Top Model, Season Four. Players will pick a celebrity they want to represent, they can be male, female, or anything in between, all are welcomed. Each round you will submit a photo to the host that best represents the theme of that round. The judges will deliberate and make a decision as to who gave the strongest and weakest performance. THE ONLY THING THAT WILL BE JUDGED ARE THE “MODELS”, THE POSE, AND WHAT THEY ARE WEARING. Please refrain from using candid shots. If you choose to use one, that is at your risk. This game, like most on ATRL require you to be active at least once a day. We encourage banter and drama (just keep it cute). AND FOR OUR TENTH ANNIVERSARY Since 2012, ATRL Survivor has crowned eleven winners (borntodie, Adr, –brian, Yvess, Element, URBAN, Aciid, kipperskipper, dussymob, Buddy!, and boys). Now it's time to begin the twelfth installment of the Survivor franchise that began TEN years ago. How does the game of Survivor work? The Game: 21 contestants will be placed into tribes during the pre–merge phase. Each round before the Merge is quite simple to complete – you will be given a theme and must submit a song that best represents that theme. Once you send in a song and it hasn't been chosen, it's LOCKED in. The judging panel then rates your song on a scale of 1 to 10 based on how well it fits the theme. You and your tribe members' scores are tallied up, then averaged into one final number. The tribe with the lowest overall average then heads to Tribal Council where one member is voted off. The process repeats until a certain number of you remain (called the Merge) and your challenges then become more complex. Contestants then will become part of the Jury where they eventually vote for the winner. Reminders: We give the contestants 24 hours to send in a song (although it often takes less) during the beginning rounds. That may sound like a short amount of time, but all you are doing is sending a song with no explanation required. Some rounds you'll submit within a couple minutes. Others you may have to think for a little while. If you are a member that is often banned and want to join, only join if you plan on not getting banned during this process. If you are banned from ATRL, you are eliminated and can not continue playing via outside contact. Please don’t play this game if you intend on quitting in the near or distant future. Double eliminations will happen to ensure the game keeps moving. We will be using a Discord server for this game where you will be submitting songs directly to us, receiving announcements, AND completing confessionals (!) every round, which will be open to a select group of viewers that we trust explicitly. If you don't complete your confessional, you will receive a penalty. It will still have interesting twists, idols, and much more! Represent is a game that combines elements of classic ATRL games such as Survivor, The Color Game, Diversity, and TABS while providing a fresh format with diverse challenges, a risk/reward advantage system, and dynamic elimination system. Firstly, let me introduce you all to the basic format of the game. For starters, you will choose a celebrity to "represent." There are no limitations or requirements, but challenges in Represent range from Fashion, Music, Acting, Videos, and More, so it is best to choose an artist that has a diverse portfolio that covers pretty much every area. Speaking of challenges, let's get to exactly how they work in Represent. Pick One is the challenge format of Represent. Each round a theme will be given, as far as how you "represent" it, you will be presented with 3 options, for example: Theme: Iconic Fashion: Submit a look that represents the theme, Iconic. Music: Submit a song that represents the theme, Iconic. Interview: Submit an interview that represents the theme, Iconic. You will submit your selection via private PM and when the submission period is complete, entries will be posted. To explain further, I must introduce the next aspect of this game, which is Judging. There will be three judges in this game (if you would like to be one, more info at the bottom of this post.) Each judge will be randomly assigned a category to judge each round. Judges will the determine the bottom two (if applicable) of their category, and also determine the winner of their category. Now, what does being the winner of a round entail exactly? Each round, the winner of each category will be given a choice of two different advantages to choose from. These advantages are crucial to surviving in this game, so winning challenges will be a key factor throughout the competition. There are a max of three winners each round, which means everyone likely will have an advantage at some point, but the strength in them is using them effectively. You might be wondering what happens to the unlucky few who end up in that bottom three, let's get into the Elimination process. Eliminations in this game have several layers, so let's break them down. Firstly, if a category only has one entry, that contestant is automatically SAFE. A more difficult category (example; Interview, Acting Clip, Social Media, etc.) might not have any entrants, so if you want to take the risk, you can choose that category and have a chance to automatically gain safety for the round and an advantage. Secondly, if a category has two or three entries, the judge will determine a winner and which person goes into the elimination ballot. Thirdly, if there are 4 or more contestants in a category, the judge will decide a winner and the bottom two will be chosen, both bottoms will go into the elimination ballot. Lastly, at the end of Judge deliberation, a vote will be commenced amongst the non bottom contestants. The person on the elimination ballot with the most votes against them will be eliminated from the competition. SIGN UP INFORMATION The tentative start date is the 28th, however, this can be pushed up or down depending on demand. Each week, the contestants will submit a photo of their celebrity wearing an outfit that best matches the theme of the round. Themes can range from a specific color, patterns, stripes, or even something unexpected. Dedication • The judging panel will rank each outfit on a 1 to 10 scale and decide where the contestants fall on the rankings. The top three scorers will find themselves on the Best Dressed List. The top three will decide who among the bottom three will be eliminated. Strategy • Being smart about who you eliminate can get you very far in the competition. SAMPLE EPISODE • S1 THREAD • VALENTINE SPECIAL THREAD Welcome back to ATRL’s Deal or No Deal! Though there's been quite the demand for a second season, it does require consecutive weeks of work which I'm not able to do... buuuuut... that doesn't mean we can't continue on with holiday specials! After the great reception from the Valentine Special I figured let's throw a good one for Halloween! HOW TO PLAY: I've attached a sample episode & the S1 thread above for anyone who doesn't know how the game works. It's mostly luck, so there isn't anything complex, but there is a bit of strategy involved - enough to keep things interesting. All games will be broadcasted LIVE here in the thread! At the beginning when each round is announced, sign-ups will open for timeslots, or “episodes”, of when you can play. Since I anticipate each game taking a bit of time (though I've gotten much quicker as S1 progressed), I recommend picking a timeslot where you'll be free about 10minutes before start time & 10minutes after end time as well. The objective of the game is simple: to select the case with the $1million amount out of 26cases presented. Since the chances of that occurring are quite low, there will be rounds where you will select a fixed number of cases (6cases to start in the first round, then 5cases for the second round & so on…) to eliminate from the game; here, the objective is to select cases with LOWER amounts of money in them. At the end of each round, the banker (also done by me) will present an offer to buy you out of the game — you can either say “DEAL” to accept or “NO DEAL” to continue playing in hopes that you can eliminate more cheaper-valued cases / have a higher amount of money in your case. As introduced in the reboot of the show, you are allowed to make ONE comeback offer to the banker per game you play (ex: the banker offers you $160,000 to end the game, you counter with $175,000). ALL formulas as to how I calculate offers and ALL cases’ values each game will be sent to a non-player beforehand to ensure fairness (I'll be using the fixed formula from S1). Attached is a list with all 26amounts of money that will randomly be placed into each game’s 26cases. Case Values: Since this is just a special, only 1round will be played - it'll be like one big mass round. 13players will each play 1game & whoever earns the highest amount of money / scores the highest will win the entire special. It's pretty simple! WINNER'S PRIZE: We can't have a special game over the weekend of love without prizes! The same options as S1 are offered, but if there's something you're especially coveting, we could definitely work something out. BANNED PLAYERS: Since the demand's been a little higher than expected, there have been a number of people who haven't gotten the chance to play though they wanted to. THE GAME 1. Each player will apply as an artist of their choice. It can be anyone, troll or not if they're not on the banned artists list below. 2. If we get more than 20 sign-ups, there will be an audition round for the applicants to send in the taste tester aka audition song. Only 20 will be our final cast. 3. In each round, there will be a theme and you will have to submit a song from your artist's discography that fits the theme the best. YOU MAY NEED TO EXPLAIN YOUR CHOICE. FEEL FREE TO DO THAT. THE JUDGES ARE ENCOURAGED TO READ THE EXPLANATION. 4. When the entries are locked, the judges will give each a score out of ten. The worst 2/3 players in each round will be up for elimination in the sing-off where the loser will get the chop. 5. There will be a comeback round. SING-OFF 1. Sing-off will be only for the bottoms in each round where they need to send in a LIVE PERFORMANCE of their artist in order to survive the sing-off. 2. You can send in a live performance of a song you already used in the main round. But the live performance of that said song can be used once in the sing off. For example, I submit Lorde's Fallen Fruit on James Corden show for round 1 sing-off. Then I'm in the sing-off again in round 2, I can't submit Fallen Fruit performance on Global Citizen because I've already used Fallen Fruit performance. 3. The focus of the sing-off will be focused on the whole performance and not just the vocal aspect. SCORING 1. For the main rounds, the judges will score your entry out of 10 points. The criteria is 5 points for 'on theme' and 5 points for 'personal taste'. 2. For the sing-off, the judges will pick their favorite sing-off performance based on the whole performance and not just vocals. Clue) to find out who will take the crown from our current reigning queen Fruity and become ATRL's Next Top Letter Vanisher. Now in case you're new... Every round I will ask for either a song, single, or album track. Song can be both a single or an album track, whereas a single needs to be officially released as such (promo singles included), and an album track cannot be officially released as a single Every round I will then give you a few "vanishing letters," and these letters cannot appear in either artist’s title or the song title or sometimes both (this part will be specified round-by-round). Following tradition artists will be banned throughout this season after being used three times and the songs used in the previous TWO seasons will be banned, that's right we're unbanning songs used in bagels ha season. And what are those songs you might ask? a list will be provided with each round post don't worry. Every round the cast will not know what others have sent in, you will need to rank the songs from best to worst, and the judges will do the same. The person with the highest average wins the round, and the people with the lowest averages will get the chop. And yes, you are right BUT ATRLvision Song Contest will follow the format and rules of our beloved European show! You know how it works! A few things to keep in mind when selecting a country/song There will be two recaps for the two semi-finals done in the ESC style (eg. 20-second bits of the song) so that you won’t have to torture yourself with listening to songs you don’t want to, although listening to them in full would be recommended. A Contest of Summer: Prologue The gods have gathered to celebrate the Solstice. The event was like that of a family reunion. Except the only thing that connects them was their love of the Sun. However, the years have been long. Humans have advanced to the point where many have forgotten the old Gods. In fact, some of them might as well be capable of reaching these heights. Yet, there are so few followers left. I, Sol Invictus, proposed a friendly contest of the summer. I have assigned roles to various gods. Their goal is to find and eliminate the other team before they are eliminated themselves. It is my hope that the cultures of Terra recognize the contributions the Old Gods have given them throughout the ages. Start Date: Whenever we get 18 players. So maybe Monday or Tuesday? Set-Up: This is a semi-open, regular game. You will know possible roles and not everyone will have a power. You will not know which are actually in the game, and who they are associated with. Communication: Only mafia and certain roles will have out-of-thread communication. Dead players will join speculator’s chat. Any other communication is strictly forbidden. If you are doing this, it will be an instant DQ. Posting Requirement: Yes we’re doing this. Yes, I’m tracking it. 5 posts per Cycle (Day and Night). A simple vote will not count toward this total. A basic post (such as one-liners) will not count as a post. I will have no patience this time, as no one likes a quiet game. Every round, you must send in a song to meet a specification for that particular round; I prefer this to be done over YouTube if at all possible. After everyone has submitted their song, each contestant will be given a link with every song, and they must then listen to them and rank them (not including their own song). Based on these rankings, all scores from each contestant will be combined and the contestants with the lowest overall score will be eliminated. This format will continue (with surprises throughout) until we are left with the winner of ATRL's Song Contest. We still keep the banned artists and banned songs from the last season, so please check the list before sending your entry. You can't send in songs and artists which have been banned. Joining BTS, Ed Sheeran is banned. Also, you'll be allowed to openly discuss the artists/songs sent every round x There are some adjustment to the rules like where you can send the entries and rankings so please read them again. Through this game, you will have the opportunity to explore and bring out your creative side by writing a lyrical piece where you can produce either a gripping story and pour your heart out, simply share your thoughts, craft a pop banger or even take a fun/comedic approach! Everything is allowed in this game, so take this as a chance to embrace your creativity! The game will consist of several rounds, where for every round you will submit a song or poem that fits the criteria of the respective challenge. There will be a judge panel which has the responsibility and compromise to give you feedback on your songs in a respectful way, always with the purpose of making you grow as a writer and finessing your work. ARE. BACK!!! Since 2012, ATRL Survivor has crowned ten winners (borntodie, Adr, –brian, Yvess, Element, URBAN, Aciid, kipperskipper, dussymob, and Buddy!). Now it's time to begin the eleventh installment of the Survivor franchise that began nine years ago. How does the game of Survivor work? The Game: 20 contestants will be placed into tribes during the pre–merge phase. Each round before the Merge is quite simple to complete – you will be given a theme and must submit a song that best represents that theme. Once you send in a song and it hasn't been chosen, it's LOCKED in. The judging panel then rates your song on a scale of 1 to 10 based on how well it fits the theme. You and your tribe members' scores are tallied up, then averaged into one final number. The tribe with the lowest overall average then heads to Tribal Council where one member is voted off. The process repeats until a certain number of you remain (called the Merge) and your challenges then become more complex. Contestants then will become part of the Jury where they eventually vote for the winner. Reminders: We give the contestants 24 hours to send in a song (although it often takes less) during the beginning rounds. That may sound like a short amount of time, but all you are doing is sending a song with no explanation required. Some rounds you'll submit within a couple minutes. Others you may have to think for a little while. If you are a member that is often banned and want to join, only join if you plan on not getting banned during this process. If you are banned from ATRL, you are eliminated and can not continue playing via outside contact. Please don’t play this game if you intend on quitting in the near or distant future. Double eliminations will happen to ensure the game keeps moving. We will be using a Discord server for this game where you will be submitting songs directly to us, receiving announcements, AND completing confessionals (!) every round, which will be open to a select group of viewers that we trust explicitly. If you don't complete your confessional, you will receive a penalty. Because this is the first season after our all stars season, we will be taking it almost back to basics, BUT... it will still have interesting twists, idols, and much more!
