Shoutout to the creator of the game @sumthintoxic82 and the previous host of the game @mxtthewdelrey particularly Matt because I totally stole the OP from his last thread THE FORMAT. ATRL's Song Contest does not have an application stage. We start the game off with however many contestants sign up, and each contestant must submit a song (preferably as an mp3 file, but as long as I can rip the song from the website provided it's okay) to me each round via PM. After everyone has submitted, each contestant will be given a .zip link with every song (with all data removed so that artists/titles are anonymous) and they must then listen to them and rank them (not including their own song). Based on these rankings, all scores from each contestant will be combined and the contestants with the lowest overall score will be eliminated. This format will continue (with surprises throughout) until we are left with the winner of ATRL's Song Contest. As we are entering the final quarter of 2018, Moneybags is hosting his annual Gem Gala, a fashion event taking place in many locations across The Dragon Kingdom. He is looking for celebrities to present looks according to the color or theme of every week of the event. If for example the color of a certain week is red, you will have to send an outfit who's main color is red. Welcome to Hunt or Hide, may your stay here be a pleasant one. Game originally created by legend Prismee. Players are trapped in the woods and take turns each round to either hunt or hide. The player(s) who manages to stay alive throughout all the rounds will run out of the woods and be crowned as the champion of ATRL Hunt Or Hide. HOW TO PLAY Each round, two players will be randomly selected to be the hunters. The rest of the players will have to hide in the woods. The woods consists of 10 different sections. Hiders have to PM me the section they would like to hide in. Meanwhile, the hunters will PM me the section they would like to hunt. Any hider(s) in the same section will be attacked by the hunters and die. If both hunters choose to attack the same section, both of them would kill off each other and all hiders in the section. ALLIANCES Alliances are encouraged in Hunt Or Hide to ensure your survival in the woods, make connections with players because you'll never know when you might need to rely on them or their powers. ADDITIONAL RULES Players are given 24 hours to PM me the section they would like to hunt or hide. POWERS Each round will have atleast one power up for grabs ... but not all will benefit you. Hello and welcome to a new season of ATRL's The Mole! The game is based on the TV show of the same season. It's a tournament with unique games that call for strategy, integrity, intelligence and most of all.. teamwork! One of you however will secretly sabotage the games. The end goal for the players is to guess the mole, the end goal for the mole is to fool every single contestant out there and sabotage the games. Do you have what it takes to be the last contestant standing.. or to be the one and only mole? The season will start with a maximum of 24 players.. after the full cast is revealed, one of you will be picked as The Mole. Unlike last season there are no fixed starting teams for the first few rounds. You will be doing the first few challenges in different kinds of teams, where one team will win something (like immunity from taking the elimination test!). It's up to you how you want to play this game.. both as mole or as contestant. Take a look at the Previous Season to get some ideas of what you could expect. You could be the fanatical player, the mole-acting player, the silent mole and so on. It's all up to you as this season there will be no special roles with the exception of The Mole of course. There are however some powers; The Freebie The freebie will correct one of your wrong answers on the test.. and could possibly save you from elimination in the process! The Green Exemption The green exemption will correct ALL your answers, thus basically granting you with immunity. There is however a catch.. The Black Exemption And the catch is the Black Exemption! Whilst immunity in the first few rounds probably won't be affected by this black exemption.. it could affect you in later rounds. The Black Exemption will render the frihbies and exemptions usless that were used during a test. That means that later on you still need to make the test with the Green Exemption. It's up to the player with The Black Exemption to use it whenever he wants. All powers, when obtained, can be used throughout the season with the exception of the final two rounds! As what the title states, this tournament will be a search for the best artist, for the word best what it means is how diverse the artist is and how good the players at picking songs, music videos, albums, covers, etc. for their chosen artists to survive all the rounds and crown as the winner! P L ☆ T I N U M H I T 1 2 : S T ☆ R D O M Hosted by Aurora ATRL’s #1 tournament is about to take a whole new stage. ☆ FOREWORD Platinum Hit is a songwriting tournament hosted right here on ATRL. Each round, contestants are asked to submit a new song while keeping to the challenge outline in order to avoid elimination. Sounds simple enough, right? Well, this season we’re aiming for the stars... Thank you @Era for the graphics! ☆ CONCEPT For this season of Platinum Hit, a storyline element will be added in order to keep the game fun and progressive. The hosts and judges will be the record executives of Platinum Records, with branches spanning different global regions. The contestants will be the potential talent that will be scouted, developed, and eventually signed. The story arc is simple: all players will forge their own road to success. They’ll start by “writing demos for other artists” and “generating label support” in the early rounds. Then, if they prove their talents, they’ll be given a “recording contract” to release their own singles and begin working on an EP. Those who prove to be successful will be given the green-light for more singles, but those who fail to live up to the initial hype will be dropped. ☆ JUDGING Each judge will represent a different global region for charting purposes, and their scores will represent song sales measured in PHU (pronounced “foo”) - Platinum Hit Units. The more a judge enjoys a song, the higher the final sales figure. The true smashes will be global. PHU will be based on equal market shares from each region, capping at 2 million each for a potential total of 10 million PHU WW. Each round, contestants will get complete chart breakdowns from the individual regions with unique stats, in addition to the global chart. This season we’re trying something different. Given the transparency of the scoring and amount of time it takes to write paragraphs for each entry, this season we will have a weekly press release article for each chart region (Billboard style) highlighting the best and worst of the week. Well well well it's been a year since I (dreadfully) hosted my first game here on ATRL and a bitch is officially back with Hot Potato! How To Play Incorparating the party game into a forum game your goal is to stay away from the Hot Potato, each player must put their name next to a number, before the start of each round the Hot Potato will land behind a number at random, if you've landed on the Hot Potato you're eliminated. Inbetween every other round will be a game/challenge, the top 3 players will be immune from landing on the Hot Potato in the upcoming round. The only way to try and secure safety is to play the minigame. Every round should last less than 24 hours. (ex: players are allowed to flip the switch on one player every six hours) This also means that each "week" there will be a maximum number of flips that you can receive before you are completely eliminated. (ex: if you receive fifteen flips this "week" you are automatically eliminated) There will always be a limit between how you can cast your votes, so that the game is fair. (ex: you cannot flip the switch on a player three times in a row) I will update the thread accordingly with flip counts and all votes/flips will remain anonymous. • Challenges: Each "week" there will be one challenge. This challenge is mandatory, and must be completed by all players. Players who do not complete the challenge will receive a penalty. (ex: an automatic number of flips against them) ALL CHALLENGES WILL LAST FOR 48HOURS ONLY, so being active - as I've mentioned - is a must. Of course I will provide extensions when necessary - just let me know what's up. All challenge rewards and punishments will vary from week to week, however there will always be one player that will win Immunity that week. This tournament is based on that card game. _________________________________________________________________________________________ THE GAME! This card game will be converted into an ATRL game! The overall concept is simple. You will compete in various challenges, and the first person to complete the challenge will be guaranteed a spot in the next round. After this person wins the challenge, the first spoon will be posted in the thread. Once you see the "First Spoon" in the thread, all of the other players must post the word "spoon" in the thread. Pictures or other creative representations of the word "spoon" are acceptable, as well. Posting your spoon now becomes the only way to save yourself and advance to the next round. Welcome to The Return Of... ATRL's Song Contest, the landmark twelfth season of the hit ATRL game. After a break of almost eighteen months, it's time to say welcome back to ATRL's Song Contest - the first time the game has been brought to NewTRL. This is the third season of Song Contest that I have hosted, after Season 10 (won by @URBAN) and Season 11 (won by @Navyofbadgals). It is my pleasure to be hosting another season of this game after having the game passed down to me by the wonderful @sumthintoxic82. The Return Of... ATRL's Song Contest is sure to bring more twists, turns and surprises than ever before. Be prepared for anything. You have been warned. THE FORMAT. ATRL's Song Contest does not have an application stage. We start the game off with however many contestants sign up, and each contestant must submit a song (preferably as an mp3 file or a YouTube link) to me each round via PM. After everyone has submitted, each contestant will be given a .zip link with every song (with all data removed so that artists/titles are anonymous) and they must then listen to them and rank them (not including their own song). Based on these rankings, all scores from each contestant will be combined and the contestants with the lowest overall score will be eliminated. ATRL Mafia II - Sign-ups Thread General idea This is another mafia game similar in veins to Jan's Stars vs. Flops game. As you would expect the rules are very similar, but each mafia host offer something different to the game so not everything will function the same way. This is similar in concept to the fast-paced Town of Salem. In this game, players are thrust into a situation where there is a vicious crime faction, the Mafia. The Town goal is to eliminate all threatening non-town faction. The 3P have their own separate win conditions and are not aligned with either faction. Phases There are two phases in the game: Day Phase and Night Phase. During Day Phase, all players deliberate and vote to lynch (eliminate) one player from the game. During Night Phase, the Mafia deliberate and decide to kill off one player. Players may have abilities with allow them to act in either phases. Phases will be 36 hours for Day, and 12 hours for Night. My phases will be at 7 EST. Game start could be Sunday 7:00 AM EST. I will confirm at a later date. Welcome to Girlicious Madness! How To Play Each round will be a different theme. I want to try various different things and eventually have an overall madness. Every madness (unless stated in a special edition) will consist of 32 different choices (overall 16 different matches at the start.) Every round you are to highlight your choice of winner you believe should continue in the madness between the two in the tournament. I have randomized the candidates as well. This game is about predicting the results of Eurovision. It's pretty simple, and the winner can have the bragging rights of calling themselves ATRL's Eurovision oracle. How does it work? You predict the ten qualifiers from both Semi Final 1, and Semi Final 2. After that, you comply a list of what you think standings will be 1-26 (obviously including the qualifiers you have selected and the Big 5 + Portugal). How does the points system work? You will get two points per qualifier predicted. Then for the 1-26 predictions, you get three points if you predict a countries position exactly, two points if you're one out either way, and one if you're two out either way. So if you predicted Israel finish 3rd, but they actually finish 1st, you would get one point. You have until the start of Semi Final 1 to do this, so there is no rush. Some players will also have special abilities which are also usable during Night Phase unless their game card states otherwise. The Stars win if they manage to eliminate all Flops. The Flops win if their number is greater to or equal to that of the Stars. For the purpose of parity, the third party is counted as a Star. Revealed star roles: Revealed flop role: Note: These are not all special roles in the game. Phases. Each Day Phase lasts 36 hours and each Night Phase lasts 12 hours. They will begin and end at 6AM or 6PM GMT. There will be a timer set to mark the end of every Day Phase. Posting is allowed during all phases. Voting. Every Day Phase, all players must submit a valid lynch vote in the thread. It must be bolded and underlined and state the name of the player. Here is an example of how a valid lynch vote should look like: Lynch Jan. If you don't want to lynch anyone, you may submit No lynch. Votes may be changed as many times as you wish until the end of the Day Phase, the last one submitted counts. Elimination. Once you are dead by lynch or kill, you may no longer post in the game thread. You will be allowed to post again only after the game is over. You are strictly not allowed to coach any remaining players in the game. Your role and allegiance will be revealed when you die. Disqualification. Players are disqualified at the end of the phase, during which I made the decision to do so. Disqualified players are treated as if they were lynched or killed and may suffer extra consequences. If: You don't submit a valid lynch vote during Day Phase you will receive a warning. Failure to do so for the second time results in a disqualification. You are caught discussing the game outside of: the game thread, the Flop chat or the Spectator's Chat should there be one, you are out without warning. If you are dead in the game and cheating by talking to players who are still alive, I may no longer allow you to play in any game I may host in the future. You edit a post you will receive a warning. If you edit a post for the second time, you will be disqualified! You make a screenshot of any PM I send you and share it, directly quote any PM I send you, or post an image of your role card, you will be disqualified. However, posting images of cards which have been revealed (Madonna, Taylor Swift, Mariah Carey, Azealia Banks and any card held by a dead or disqualified player) is allowed. Other information.
