Golden Hit: Season 1 Five years ago today, a new tournament debuted on ATRL titled “Platinum Hit 10.5”. This was a song writing tournament unlike any other that had occurred on the site before, in that it had one key difference: it wasn’t actually a tournament at all, as nobody would be eliminated. Intended to be the first of a recurring series, despite its success ATRL has never seen another game like this in the five years since; until now. @Aurora and I are very happy to celebrate today’s five year anniversary by rebooting this unique writing experience as “Golden Hit”! Golden Hit is simple in concept: each week, players will be presented with a challenge. These challenges consist of prompts and inspiration for a song that we want you to write and will be submitted to be reviewed by Golden Hit’s judging panel. The judges will score each entry and at the end of the round your submissions will be ranked. At the end of Golden Hit, each player's scores from each week will be averaged out and you will receive an overall score for your Golden Hit journey. THE JUDGING PANEL @Aurora @Element @fountain Each round will run for one week: rounds will be posted on Saturday’s, and entries will be due by Thursday’s. Judging will occur in between, with results taking place on Saturday before the new round is posted. (Extensions may be granted under circumstance). This first season of Golden Hit will run for six rounds. Every person who signs up for this game has a place here from now until the very end. Additionally, new players may join the game at any point despite missing the earlier rounds. If, for whatever reason, you need to miss a round of the game, this is fine. Simply put, there will be zero eliminations at all in Golden Hit. The non elimination formula is integral to Golden Hit as an experience, in that this boot camp type set up can be made into exactly whatever you want it to be. For new writers, this is your chance to learn an incredible amount in a short period of time, receiving feedback and help from the judges and other players, and making an incredible first dive into song writing. For experienced writers, this is a unique chance to branch out of your box, with no fear of elimination you are free to try any new ideas or styles that are not your typical and you can put your writing to the test. Ultimately, this is also your chance to be as competitive or non competitive as you want to be. If your goal is to get the best score of the season, great. In order to select our newest Archivist, we will test twelve individuals on a their abilities of thievery, detection, deception, and wit. Who are we looking for? Anyone. The more unique, the better. For more information, please fill out our file below. Character Creation Heists Heists are the main challenges in The Heist. Each round, a Heist will be revealed and it is your job to use your strategic wits to escape the scenario. There are four types of Heists. Captures Captures are the traditional heist goal. You have to find, retrieve, and bring back a designated item from a location. The type of item and location will vary, but they will almost always be small items that can be stolen without notice. Assassinations Assassinations are missions that require you to kill a specific target and escape the scenario alive. Kidnappings Kidnappings require you to successfully abduct a target and escape the scenario. Combinations Some heists will be combinations of the above types, to provide extra challenge to those who make it far into the competition. To determine who passes a Heist, myself and two other judges will examine the scenarios presented and make a majority rules decision. If interest is high, public voting will become present and also play a factor. Eliminations If you do not successfully complete your Heist, you will be sent into elimination. Eliminations are a variety of challenges and tasks that will test you mental and strategic aptness. Eliminations are NOT required each round (if everyone completes the scenario, the next round starts shortly thereafter) and you can PASS them (with the exclusion of Head to Heads, which are done when only 2 people are in elimination.) Money As with any heist, Money will play a huge factor. Everyone starts with $25 in their accounts, throughout the competition, you will have opportunities to add more through successful heists and more. With money, you can buy items to help get through heists easier, along with healing packs to get rid of damage from prior heists if needed. If you fail a heist, you will be deducted a 20% fee, but if you win an elimination, you will receive it back plus additional funds. Most importantly, at the end, the person with the highest money total will be the winner of The Heist. Spend wisely. Additional Information After each round ends, those that proceed will be allowed to upgrade their character, which will be specific to each background type. Rounds will typically last 5 days, so expect this game to last until the beginning of September. There is a slight possibility class advantages/disadvantages might change before the game starts, not the categories, but the way their weighed against actual scores. Jiggle, jiggle, I like to see you wiggle, wiggle Each week, the contestants will submit a photo of their celebrity wearing an outfit that best matches the theme of the round. Themes can range from a specific color, patterns, stripes, or even something unexpected. The judging panel will rank each outfit on a 1 to 10 scale and decide where the contestants fall on the rankings. The top three scorers will find themselves on the Best Dressed List. The top three will decide who among the bottom three will be eliminated unless stated otherwise. Being smart about who you eliminate can get you very far in the competition. Having an alliance will definitely help as the contestants never know who could be in power from week to week. With twists always waiting around the corner, it's vital everyone stays on their toes as only three (or four.. or five) of them will make it to Fashion Week, where the judges will look at their portfolios from the entire season and decide a winner. Welcome to the FOURTEENTH season of one of ATRL's biggest games -- Let's Spoon! _________________________________________________________________________________________ This tournament is ATRL's adaptation of musical chairs! The game is based on the iconic card game Spoons. Here's a quick TLDR summary of how it works: - Each day, there is a LIVE challenge (first one on Sunday, April 24th). - The first person to complete the challenge wins the first "spoon", which I announce in the thread. - After I announce the first spoon, everyone else in the game has to post the word "spoon" in the thread to stay in the game. - It's basically like musical chairs. There is one less spoon than number of players each round - so the last person left who doesn't post "spoon" will be eliminated. - This same process repeats each round. Hosted by me and clue <3 WELCOME TO THE 9TH SEASON OF ATRL'S VANISHING LETTERS! Back after an acclaimed Emmy winning season, I decided to return as a host (feat. Clue) to find out who will take the crown from our current reigning queen Fruity and become ATRL's Next Top Letter Vanisher. Now in case you're new... Every round I will ask for either a song, single, or album track. Song can be both a single or an album track, whereas a single needs to be officially released as such (promo singles included), and an album track cannot be officially released as a single Every round I will then give you a few "vanishing letters," and these letters cannot appear in either artist’s title or the song title or sometimes both (this part will be specified round-by-round). Following tradition artists will be banned throughout this season after being used three times and the songs used in the previous TWO seasons will be banned, that's right we're unbanning songs used in bagels ha season. And what are those songs you might ask? a list will be provided with each round post don't worry. Every round the cast will not know what others have sent in, you will need to rank the songs from best to worst, and the judges will do the same. The person with the highest average wins the round, and the people with the lowest averages will get the chop. A leg will be posted and players will have a certain time to complete the leg, by fulfilling all tasks assigned. Once all teams have completed the leg the results will be posted and (unless the leg is a non eliminated leg) the last team will be eliminated. MONEY Money will require you to do some simple arithmetic. You may use xe.com to aid you converting currencies used around the globe. Currency for the country you're going to may or may not will be stated at the beginning of each leg, but US dollars will be provided. Money is carried over after every leg. Round up your money to the nearest units/ones. RANDOM EVENTS Just like in the real race, things can randomly go wrong. During some tasks, eg. chosing a taxi there may be predetermined bad/good taxis which could help or hinder you. Will direct you to where your next clue is, or will instruct a general task that both team members must complete. A task that only one team member may perform. Choice between two tasks, each with pros and cons. Some detours may look faster than the other depending on the team. A task that a team can take to skip the remaining tasks and go directly to the pit stop. Only one team can use the fast forward in a leg. A U-Turn appears at the end of a detour, where a team may force another team to complete the other detour option they did not choose. A Yield appears at any marker, where a team may force another team to stop racing for a predetermined amount of time (adds 30 minutes to their time) A Speed Bump appears in legs after any Non Elimination Leg, A team spared elimination is required to do a Speed Bump, an extra task that only they have to complete before continuing with the normal race course.

CHANGE THE GAME WITH THAT DIGITAL DROP Welcome to the inaugural season of ATRL's The X Factor! Adapted straight from Simon Cowell's hit television show The X Factor, this game aims to replicate everything you know and love about the show (depending on how many sign-ups we get!) The Basics We start the game with a number of contestants. Each round, contestants must have to send in an audio (or video, if you prefer) cover of them singing a song (or if allowed for the round, an original song). The minimum length will be 90 seconds (TBC). THE X FACTOR FORMAT Four Chair Challenge Each judge will be given a category of acts. Unlike the real show, these categories will be randomised due to the lack of females and near-impossibility of "groups" on ATRL. The four-chair challenge will work as the "audition" and each judge will pick four acts from their category to take through to the next round. Judges Houses Each judge now has their category of 4 acts from six-chair challenge. Each act will sing a song of their choice and based on this, the judges will each choose a category of 3 acts to take through to the live shows. There will also be wildcards! Live Shows Each week, all acts will perform a song based on a theme. The judges mentor their category of 3 acts throughout. Then, after the performances, the judges and will vote on who should go through, and after this, the bottom 3 will be announced. The public will choose an act to save from the bottom 3, and the judges will then choose an act to save from the bottom 2. This will continue until the winner is crowned! AND FOR OUR TENTH ANNIVERSARY Since 2012, ATRL Survivor has crowned eleven winners (borntodie, Adr, –brian, Yvess, Element, URBAN, Aciid, kipperskipper, dussymob, Buddy!, and boys). Now it's time to begin the twelfth installment of the Survivor franchise that began TEN years ago. How does the game of Survivor work? The Game: 21 contestants will be placed into tribes during the pre–merge phase. Each round before the Merge is quite simple to complete – you will be given a theme and must submit a song that best represents that theme. Once you send in a song and it hasn't been chosen, it's LOCKED in. The judging panel then rates your song on a scale of 1 to 10 based on how well it fits the theme. You and your tribe members' scores are tallied up, then averaged into one final number. The tribe with the lowest overall average then heads to Tribal Council where one member is voted off. The process repeats until a certain number of you remain (called the Merge) and your challenges then become more complex. Contestants then will become part of the Jury where they eventually vote for the winner. Reminders: We give the contestants 24 hours to send in a song (although it often takes less) during the beginning rounds. That may sound like a short amount of time, but all you are doing is sending a song with no explanation required. Some rounds you'll submit within a couple minutes. Others you may have to think for a little while. If you are a member that is often banned and want to join, only join if you plan on not getting banned during this process. Firstly, let me introduce you all to the basic format of the game. For starters, you will choose a celebrity to "represent." There are no limitations or requirements, but challenges in Represent range from Fashion, Music, Acting, Videos, and More, so it is best to choose an artist that has a diverse portfolio that covers pretty much every area. Speaking of challenges, let's get to exactly how they work in Represent. Pick One is the challenge format of Represent. Each round a theme will be given, as far as how you "represent" it, you will be presented with 3 options, for example: Theme: Iconic Fashion: Submit a look that represents the theme, Iconic. Music: Submit a song that represents the theme, Iconic. Interview: Submit an interview that represents the theme, Iconic. You will submit your selection via private PM and when the submission period is complete, entries will be posted. To explain further, I must introduce the next aspect of this game, which is Judging. There will be three judges in this game (if you would like to be one, more info at the bottom of this post.) Each judge will be randomly assigned a category to judge each round. Judges will the determine the bottom two (if applicable) of their category, and also determine the winner of their category. Now, what does being the winner of a round entail exactly? Each round, the winner of each category will be given a choice of two different advantages to choose from. These advantages are crucial to surviving in this game, so winning challenges will be a key factor throughout the competition. There are a max of three winners each round, which means everyone likely will have an advantage at some point, but the strength in them is using them effectively. You might be wondering what happens to the unlucky few who end up in that bottom three, let's get into the Elimination process. Eliminations in this game have several layers, so let's break them down. Firstly, if a category only has one entry, that contestant is automatically SAFE. A more difficult category (example; Interview, Acting Clip, Social Media, etc.) might not have any entrants, so if you want to take the risk, you can choose that category and have a chance to automatically gain safety for the round and an advantage. Secondly, if a category has two or three entries, the judge will determine a winner and which person goes into the elimination ballot. Thirdly, if there are 4 or more contestants in a category, the judge will decide a winner and the bottom two will be chosen, both bottoms will go into the elimination ballot. Lastly, at the end of Judge deliberation, a vote will be commenced amongst the non bottom contestants. The person on the elimination ballot with the most votes against them will be eliminated from the competition. Players will pick a celebrity they want to represent, they can be male, female, or anything in between, all are welcomed. It's mostly luck, so there isn't anything complex, but there is a bit of strategy involved - enough to keep things interesting. All games will be broadcasted LIVE here in the thread! At the beginning when each round is announced, sign-ups will open for timeslots, or “episodes”, of when you can play. Since I anticipate each game taking a bit of time (though I've gotten much quicker as S1 progressed), I recommend picking a timeslot where you'll be free about 10minutes before start time & 10minutes after end time as well. The objective of the game is simple: to select the case with the $1million amount out of 26cases presented. Since the chances of that occurring are quite low, there will be rounds where you will select a fixed number of cases (6cases to start in the first round, then 5cases for the second round & so on…) to eliminate from the game; here, the objective is to select cases with LOWER amounts of money in them. At the end of each round, the banker (also done by me) will present an offer to buy you out of the game — you can either say “DEAL” to accept or “NO DEAL” to continue playing in hopes that you can eliminate more cheaper-valued cases / have a higher amount of money in your case. As introduced in the reboot of the show, you are allowed to make ONE comeback offer to the banker per game you play (ex: the banker offers you $160,000 to end the game, you counter with $175,000). ALL formulas as to how I calculate offers and ALL cases’ values each game will be sent to a non-player beforehand to ensure fairness (I'll be using the fixed formula from S1). Attached is a list with all 26amounts of money that will randomly be placed into each game’s 26cases. Case Values: Since this is just a special, only 1round will be played - it'll be like one big mass round. 13players will each play 1game & whoever earns the highest amount of money / scores the highest will win the entire special. It's pretty simple! WINNER'S PRIZE: We can't have a special game over the weekend of love without prizes! The same options as S1 are offered, but if there's something you're especially coveting, we could definitely work something out. BANNED PLAYERS: Since the demand's been a little higher than expected, there have been a number of people who haven't gotten the chance to play though they wanted to. So, the winners of S1 & the Valentine Special + anyone who's played in both will not be able to sign up for this Halloween Special. Please make sure it's a timeslot that works for you, as for this special, if someone doesn't show up after 10minutes of their slot starting I'll have to move onto the next player & you'll lose your chance to compete.
