  1. Hello, I am new to laptop gaming, and want something budge friendly. I do not mind much if the fps is 30, etc. I am debating these two for a game like Cyberpunk 2077, or dead island 2 etc ( I am okay with not using Ultra settings). Are these two models good choices for me? Asus Vivobook 16X ryzen 5 7530u /Amd Raedeon /16GB ram Or HP Pavilion 15 i5 /Geforce RTX 4050/ 16GB ram i can get Vivobook for about 200 dollars less right now, what do you guys recommend ? Thanks in advance!
  2. These never took off very much I feel like compared to Hit Clips, and were discontinued In 2000. But I'm surprised these weren't as popular. They had the full song, sounded better and had speakers. There's also not much background Info on these toys. The Oops era had some rare ones for Oops, Lucky and Stronger In yellow Britney packaging that were released In 2000, but I've only found them on Ebay once!
  3. Android is a mobile operating system based on a modified version of the Linux kernel and other open-source software, designed primarily for touchscreen mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets.

why is twitter (x) full with bots?

elon said he bought twitter to get rid of bots but after he took over there's more bots than ever, why?
  5. I always used 1 or 2 adblockers that i know, always the same 2 for the past 5 years and they weren't very good, for example they would only block half the ads on ATRL, most of them would still come through or just blank white spaces, same for many other sites. I didn't really care if they weren't very efficient, ads on website aren't THAT annoying. On the other hand those same adblockers would work very well on youtube until the crackdown from last month, after many warnings from youtube, none of my adblockers would work anymore. I had to sit through unskippable 30 seconds ads for a few weeks. That was until last week, because now i can't see a single ads on SIGHT, anywhere on the web, everywhere I'm surfing. NONE. Even ATRL is clean CLEAN not even the blank spaces are there. And the cherry on top, Youtube is also adfree again. Thank you Youtube.

  7. This particular user is having their family membership go from $22.99 --> $42.99 x x US Premium prices also went up for this user Thoughts? This is why I still have my adblock ON.
  8. Is Twitter about to lose the last of their few remaining advertisers?
  9. Threads users who have been wanting to use the app on desktops and laptops, you have some good news: Threads is finally available for desktop/laptop use. Clare Duffy at CNN:
  10. The last trailblazing iPhone was the iPhone 5, we're almost at iPhone 15. Apple has been recycling the same thing for generations now with minor changes. And that's just one example. Do you think Steve Jobs would be embarrassed about the current Apple situation? Thoughts?
  11. I was talking with my bf last night about how consumer tech used to be so exciting in the 2000s/early 2010s because there was so much innovation coupled with lowering prices happening, making more and new tech available to the average consumer. However, from around the mid 2010s on, it sort of feels like everything has stalled more and more and we're seeing less and less major innovation hit the market. With this in mind, what do you think, if anything, will be the next big consumer tech innovation that will take the world by storm like the PC, iPhone, etcetera did?
  12. As you may know, Reddit is going to charge big money to use its API - this is terrible for bots and 3rd party applications. It is also terrible for people with disabilities which the main Reddit app supports terribly. a huge number of subreddits have agreed to take part, even some of my pop favs.. so ATRL, have your fav subreddits joined the strike?
  13. In an internal memo sent Monday afternoon to Reddit staff, CEO Steve Huffman addressed the recent blowback directed at the company, telling employees to block out the “noise” and that the ongoing blackout of thousands of subreddits will eventually pass. The memo, a copy of which was obtained by The Verge, is in response to popular subreddits going dark this week in protest of the company’s increased API pricing for third-party apps. Some of the most popular Reddit clients say the bill for keeping their apps up and running could cost them millions of dollars a year. More than 8,000 Reddit communities have gone dark in protest, and while many plan to open up again on Wednesday, some have said they’ll stay private indefinitely until Reddit makes changes. https://www.theverge.com/2023/6/13/23759559/reddit-internal-memo-api-pricing-changes-steve-huffman r/Modcoord (the organiser of the blackout) is now calling for a indefinite blackout, big subreddits like r/Apple, r/Fitness are joining in

What do you think ATRL? Why it did not replace bar codes? Discuss.
  15. According to this very popular italian account Instagram is introducing a button to watch the stories at a 2x speed. Some users, most of them influencers or people working in the social media promotion, already have it. Are you ready for Instagram (sped up version)?.
  16. I'vew tried clearing cookies chile. Everytime I enter a thread with a Spotify player anywhere (OP, comment, signature), I have to disconnect and re-connect my HDMI cable. I'm over it.

    iPhone or Galaxy?

Sometime ago I made a similar thread to this and I ended up buying a Galaxy S22, now I'm about to update but the iPhone 14 Pro is kinda the same as the Flip I was thinking on updating. Galaxy's are great, but I do low-key miss the Apple ecosystem I had with my MacBook and iPhone 11. Is it worth it or should I stick with Samsung?
