today, the IFPI released its Music Consumer Insight Report, which features many cool stats on how music consumers are consuming these days. here are a few stats: a whopping 85% of 13-15yos are streaming music. 53% of 13-15yos are buying music, with 38% on downloads, 37% on CDs, and 19% on vinyl. nearly half (45%) of internet users consume music through licensed audio streaming services. nearly all (96%) internet users consume licensed music.
