The charts, which are formulated using streaming figures of international singles, are compiled by Barcelona headquartered BMAT. The new chart will be updated weekly on Monday evenings. Every week, from Friday to Thursday, BMAT will aggregate and consolidate the data from Spotify, Apple Music, and Amazon Music. The Top 20 chart will be reviewed by the IMI Charts committee comprised of representatives from record labels such as Universal Music Group, Sony Music Entertainment, Times Music, and Warner Music Group. The Indian Music Industry (IMI) is the body that represents the interest of record labels on a pan-India basis. (The Billboard Canadian Albums chart ranks the most popular albums of the week based on multi-metric consumption, which includes traditional album sales, track equivalent albums and streaming equivalent albums). The album has the highest one week consumption total since Taylor Swift’s evermore in December 2020 and the highest one week streams total since Taylor Swift’s folklore in July 2020.
